Motor Winding Wire
- Use for motors
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature: 390° F
- Insulation: Polyamide
Also known as magnet wire, this wire is commonly used in motors, transformers, relays, and other high-speed winding applications. It meets NEMA 1000 MW-35C for material quality and -73C for use in sealed motors and material quality. It stays in the position you bend it.
Wrap Wire
- Use for circuit boards
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature: 200° F
- Insulation: PVDF Plastic
This wire wraps around a post terminal on a circuit board to make an electrical connection, eliminating the need for soldering. It stays in the shape you bend it for a tight wrap around the post. A silver-plated finish provides corrosion resistance and strength. PVDF wire is also known as Kynar wire.
Use a wrap wire tool (sold separately) to make a tighter connection than wrapping by hand. The tool also unwinds wire from the post.
Wrap a coil tightly around a terminal post for a strong electrical connection. These compact tools won't bump into neighboring terminal posts and disrupt the rest of your circuit board, making them ideal for accessing posts that your hands can’t reach. Thread stripped wire into the tip, insert the tool over a post terminal, and twist to form a coil. Alternate between winding and unwinding by reversing the tip, just as you would a screwdriver bit.

Wrap Wire Assortments
- Use for circuit boards
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature: 200° F
- Insulation: PVDF Plastic
Keep multiple colors of wrap wire on hand to color code connections in circuit boards for easy identification. This wire winds around a post terminal to make a strong electrical connection—no soldering needed. Lightweight and flexible, it stays in the shape you bend it for a tight hold. A silver plating shields the wire from corrosion as well as wear and tear. This wire has PVDF insulation, which resists breaking down from chemicals and melting up to 200° F. Because it’s insulated with PVDF, it’s commonly known as Kynar wire.
All of these assortments come with a wire stripper to cut and strip your wire. Store and organize the wire with the included dispenser box.
For an even tighter connection than wrapping by hand, use a wrap wire tool (sold separately). Thread the wire into the tip, insert the tool over a post terminal, and twist. Alternate between winding and unwinding by reversing the tip, just as you would a screwdriver bit.
