Steel Hex Weld Nuts
Weld these nuts to flat and uneven uncoated steel surfaces for a strong permanent hold. A collar pilot assists alignment and prevents welding spatter from getting into threads.
All nuts meet ASME B1.1 and comply with specifications for dimensional standards.

Steel Screw-Locking Hex Weld Nuts
Irregularly shaped threads in these nuts form a tight grip, preventing screws from backing out in vibration-heavy environments. These weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add threads to sheet metal. They can be welded onto thick metal surfaces, too. To protect their threads from deforming, these nuts have three projections that concentrate your weld and create room for heat to dissipate. A collar pilot guides the nut into the hole, lightly holds it in place during welding, and protects threads from spatter.
These nuts are designed for use with Grade 2 or Class 6 screws. Use screws that have a similar strength rating to avoid stripping threads during installation. Screw-locking threads require high torque for fastening and unfastening, so you may need an impact wrench to remove screws.

Square Weld Nuts
Square weld nuts have more weld points than hex nuts for a stronger hold. Use them to add strong, permanent threads to uncoated steel surfaces. They stand up to more torque and pulling force than rivet nuts. These fasteners are uncoated, so they require minimal preparation before welding. All have a collar pilot that guides the nut into the hole, holds it in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter.
Nuts that meet ASME B1.1 comply with specifications for dimensional standards.

Steel Low-Profile Narrow-Base Weld Nuts
With a slim base and a short barrel, these weld nuts fit in tight spaces, such as channels, and in low-clearance areas. Weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add permanent threads to sheet metal. You can also install them onto thick pieces of metal. Made of plain steel, these nuts weld to flat, uncoated steel surfaces with minimal preparation.

Stainless Steel Low-Profile Narrow-Base Weld Nuts with Projections
Projections on the base concentrate the weld and create space for heat to dissipate, protecting the threads on these weld nuts from deforming. Made of 18-8 stainless steel, they withstand mild chemicals and can be used in wet and outdoor environments. They have a slim base and a short barrel for use in tight spaces, such as channels, and in low-clearance areas. These weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add permanent threads to stainless steel sheets. You can also install them onto thick pieces of stainless steel.

Stainless Steel Low-Profile Narrow-Base Weld Nuts
With a slim base and a short barrel, these corrosion-resistant weld nuts fit in tight spaces and in low-clearance areas. Made of 18-8 stainless steel, they withstand mild chemicals and can be used in wet and outdoor environments. These weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add permanent threads to sheet metal and other flat, thin metal surfaces. You can also install them onto thick pieces of metal.

Steel Narrow-Base Weld Nuts
Install threads in channels and other tight spaces where round-base weld nuts won’t fit. These steel weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add permanent threads to sheet metal. They can also be welded onto thick metals and molded into plastic surfaces. In plastic, their rectangular shape keeps them from twisting.
A base that’s flat on both sides allows these nuts to be welded in two orientations: either flush on a flat surface or with the barrel sticking through a hole. Twice as long as those on low-profile weld nuts, the standard-length barrel creates greater thread engagement.
Plain steel nuts can be welded to uncoated steel with less prep than zinc-plated steel nuts.
Zinc-plated steel nuts resist rusting in wet environments better than plain steel nuts. Weld them to uncoated steel surfaces, but keep in mind this will take extra prep, such as grinding off some of the zinc plating.

Steel Round-Base Weld Nuts
A smooth base provides more contact with the mating surface than weld nuts with projections. Both sides of the weld nut base are flat, so it can be welded flush to a surface or with the barrel through the hole. Use them to add strong, permanent threads to uncoated steel surfaces. Its barrel is twice as long as low-profile weld nuts for added thread engagement. Because they’re welded on, they can stand up to more torque and pull force than rivet nuts.
Uncoated steel weld nuts can be welded on with minimal preparation.
Zinc-plated steel weld nuts are corrosion resistant in wet environments. They require some preparation before welding, such as grinding off the plating from the part of the nut you intend to weld.

Round-Base Weld Nuts with Projections
Projections on the base concentrate the weld and provide room for heat to dissipate. Weld them to flat uncoated steel surfaces for a strong permanent hold. The round base acts as a flange to distribute the load. A long barrel ensures secure thread engagement.

Aligning Weld Nuts
Threads float inside the retainer so you can install a bolt at a slight angle to align with off-center parts. Weld these nuts to metal surfaces for a strong, permanent hold. They stand up to high torque and pulling force better than rivet nuts.
For the strongest threads, choose steel nuts. Nuts with a steel retainer should be welded to uncoated steel surfaces.

Screw-Mount Nuts
These nuts have three mounting holes to accept screws and rivets. Insert the barrel through a hole or fasten the base with the barrel facing upward for use with thin materials. The longer the barrel, the more thread engagement with your screw.
