About Plastic and Rubber Tubing

Firm Plastic and Rubber Tubing for Drinking Water
Tubing meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for drinking water.
Polyurethane rubber tubing is stronger and more durable than polyethylene plastic tubing– it has a polyester braid reinforcement that allows it to withstand higher pressures, and it also has better abrasion resistance. It is more flexible than polyethylene tubing, so it bends more easily around objects. Tubing is made without plasticizers like DEHP, so it won’t impart tastes or odors to the fluid running through it. It is ether based, so it performs better in humid environments than ester-based polyurethane. Tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow. It is also known as Versilon and formerly was known as Tygothane.
