Adjustable-Arm Fans
Often used on loading docks, these fans have a pivoting extension arm and tilting fan head so you can direct air where it's needed as well as move it out of the way when it's not. All fans have a direct-drive motor, which has fewer moving parts than belt-drive motors for less maintenance.
Fans with LED light help light your path.
Fans with a totally enclosed motor enclosure can be used in dirty, dusty, and damp environments.

Bench-Top DC Fans
Mount these fans on a bench top or in a vehicle.
Ball-and-socket swivel base fans easily adjust with a thumb screw and do not oscillate, so they are ideal for applications where you need to move your fan frequently. However, they may loosen in applications with frequent vibration. Adjustable-tension swivel base fans tighten into place with an L-key and a wrench, so they are ideal for applications with frequent vibration. However, they are not as easy to reposition as fans with a ball-and-socket swivel base.
Slotted guards prevent debris and other objects from coming into contact with the fan blade. Honeycomb guards prevent fingers and small objects from coming into contact with the fan blade.
