Cold-Protection Hard-Hat Liners
Add a layer of warmth to your hard hat. Use the hook and loop attachments to fasten liners to the suspension of your hat and to secure under your chin.
Nylon is water and wind resistant.
Cotton provides better breathability than nylon.
Polyester fleece insulation is moisture wicking to prevent moisture build up.
Acrylic fleece insulation is warmer than polyester.
Sherpa fleece insulation is warmer than other fleece linings. It is soft and thick, yet lightweight.
Liners with two layers of insulation have a layer of polypropylene fiber, as well as a layer of polyester fleece, for extra warmth.

Liners for Hair Control
Soak up sweat and keep hair from getting caught in equipment. These liners are also used to compress long hair so that hard hats fit more securely. All are machine washable.
Liners for head coverage have an elastic band for a snug fit. Soak them before wearing them, and they’ll cool you off as the water evaporates. With UPF 50 sun protection, they’ll also shield your skin from harmful UV rays.
Liners for head and nape coverage have tails that extend past the hard hat, covering your neck. A sweatband in the front helps keep moisture out of your eyes.
Cooling Hard Hats
Stay cool and protect your head—a reflective barrier in these hard hats lowers the temperature by 20 degrees. A full brim runs around the hat to shield your head and neck from sun, rain, and glare. It offers 12% more coverage than the brim on a standard full brim hat, providing additional protection from the elements. A built-in sweatband keeps perspiration out of your eyes, even if you sweat.
Type I hard hats protect against blows to the top of the head only. A foam shell absorbs impact, reducing force on the neck and head. To fit the hard hat snugly to your head, turn a knob on the back that tightens the suspension. The reversible suspension lets you turn the hat around without taking it off. For example, spin the hat to move a face shield out of the way or turn the hat to fit in a tight space. You can also add attachments such as face shields or earmuffs to the mounting slots on the hat.
Class C hard hats have not been tested for electrical protection. Class E hard hats insulate from electrical shocks and are often used near overhead power lines and high-voltage equipment. They’re tested at 20,000 volts.
Hard hats with ventilation holes add another way to stay cool by letting air circulate.
