Stainless Steel Low-Profile Narrow-Base Weld Nuts with Projections
Projections on the base concentrate the weld and create space for heat to dissipate, protecting the threads on these weld nuts from deforming. Made of 18-8 stainless steel, they withstand mild chemicals and can be used in wet and outdoor environments. They have a slim base and a short barrel for use in tight spaces, such as channels, and in low-clearance areas. These weld nuts stand up to high torque and pull force better than rivet and press-fit nuts, making them the strongest way to add permanent threads to stainless steel sheets. Steel Offset-Barrel Narrow-Base Weld Nuts
An offset barrel allows you to position threads near edges and corners. Use these nuts to add strong, permanent threads to uncoated steel sheet metal or thick uncoated steel surfaces. With a narrow base, they fit in channels and other tight spaces where round-base nuts do not. They have a short barrel, so they fit in low-clearance areas, too. They stand up to more torque and pull force than rivet nuts.
Uncoated steel weld nuts require minimal preparation before welding.
Zinc-plated steel weld nuts resist corrosion in wet environments. They require some preparation before welding, such as grinding off the plating from the part of the nut you intend to weld.

These weld nuts have an offset barrel so you can position threads near edges and corners. Weld them to thin and thick stainless steel surfaces to add strong, permanent threads that won’t corrode from contact with chemicals. Square Weld Nuts
Square weld nuts have more weld points than hex nuts for a stronger hold. Use them to add strong, permanent threads to uncoated steel surfaces. They stand up to more torque and pulling force than rivet nuts. These fasteners are uncoated, so they require minimal preparation before welding. All have a collar pilot that guides the nut into the hole, holds it in place while welding, and protects the threads from weld spatter.

Steel Hex Weld Nuts

Aligning Weld Nuts
Threads float inside the retainer so you can install a bolt at a slight angle to align with off-center parts. Weld these nuts to metal surfaces for a strong, permanent hold. They stand up to high torque and pulling force better than rivet nuts.
For the strongest threads, choose steel nuts. Nuts with a steel retainer should be welded to uncoated steel surfaces.

Mil. Spec. Rivet-Mount Nuts
Create threads in hard-to-work areas—where you can’t reach the back of a workpiece, or material is too thin to be tapped. For a strong grip, these nuts have distorted threads that increase friction with bolts. Because they mount with two rivets, they won’t spin when you’re tightening screws. However, these nuts do move inside their retainers, which lets you install bolts at a slight angle; use them to align with off-center parts. All meet military guidelines for dimensions and material.
Cadmium-plated nuts resist corrosion in industrial and saltwater environments, although will lose their corrosion resistance over 450° F. The cadmium plating also adds lubricity, making these nuts easy to install.
A286 stainless steel nuts are corrosion resistant. Lubricated nuts thread onto bolts smoothly.
