Stanley FatMax Tape Measures
Measure from a distance—the blade on these tape measures remains rigid when extended up to 11 feet. To resist scratches, wear, and corrosion, the blade is coated. It also has a double-hook tip that grabs from the top and bottom. The case is impact-resistant plastic with a nonslip rubber grip. It's yellow for high visibility.

Auto-Lock Tape Measures
Pull the blade out of these tape measures and it locks in place automatically. Press the lever to release it.
Tape measures with a magnetic-hook tip grab from the bottom and attach to metal surfaces to help vertical and distance measuring. However, the magnetic tip is strong, so it can inadvertently attach to metal and collect bits of ferrous material that impact measurement accuracy.
