Linear Bay Lights
With a lower profile design than other bay lights, linear bay lights mount closer to ceilings, providing more room for racks or shelving. Use them in large, open areas such as warehouses and manufacturing spaces where the ceiling is up to 40 ft. high. Rated for use in damp locations, these lights withstand humidity and moisture. They can be hardwired to operate on any of the voltages listed.
Style A and C lights require suspension hardware (sold separately), which includes two wire rope slings with hooks and two wire rope clamps. No tools required—adjust the length of the suspension hardware and tighten the clamps to secure.
Lights without bulbs work with tubular fluorescent bulbs (sold separately).
Lights with an aluminum housing are lightweight and resist corrosion better than those with a steel housing.

Sockets for Tubular Light Bulbs
Replace worn sockets in light fixtures. These sockets work with tubular fluorescent bulbs, and some also work with LED bulbs.
Sockets for rapid and preheat ballasts are also known as non-shunted.

Bi-Pin Base Tubular Light Bulbs
Brightness is measured in lumens; the higher the lumens, the brighter the bulb. Color rendering index (CRI) is a measurement on a scale of 0-100 of how accurately the light from a bulb represents an object's true colors; the higher the number, the more natural the colors appear. Any CRI value over 80 will show colors true to life. Bulbs with a warm light appearance have yellow tones. Bulbs with a neutral light appearance are often used in workspaces. Bulbs with a cool or daylight appearance have white/blue tones and are good for inspecting. A bulb’s estimated yearly cost is based on 3 hours of usage per day at $0.11 per kWh.
Fluorescent bulbs are energy efficient, but they contain small amounts of mercury (for disposal information, visit www.epa.gov/cfl). Plastic-coated glass bulbs are shatter resistant; the coating retains glass shards if they break.
Bulbs that cannot be sold to the regions listed exceed local regulatory limits on mercury and/or do not meet local efficiency standards.

Electronic Ballasts for Tubular Fluorescent Light Bulbs
In addition to being more energy-efficient than magnetic ballasts, these electronic ballasts are lighter and quieter. Ballasts that can operate multiple bulbs may have more wires than you need. Cover unused wires with a wire nut.
Programmed-start ballasts provide the longest bulb life, but they take longer than instant- and rapid-start ballasts to turn on. They are often used with motion-sensing light controls.
