About Cam Latches and Locks

Lift-and-Turn Tight-Hold T-Handle Cam Latches
Lift the handle and turn it a quarter-turn to latch, then push it down for a tight hold that resists vibration. Also known as compression cam latches, these latches seal your enclosure better than standard cam latches. They have an adjustable latching distance, so they're great if you don't know the precise latching distance. Adjust the position of the cam before you install. These latches come with multiple cams to accommodate different latching distances.
Aluminum latches have good corrosion resistance and are lighter weight than stainless steel latches.

Lift-and-Turn Tight-Hold Recessed T-Handle Cam Latches
Fold the handle into the recess to stay out of the way when not in use. It lays flat so you won’t bump into these latches or catch clothes on them. The latches project further into enclosures than other latches without a recess. To open them, pull the handle. Also known as compression cam latches, they create a tighter hold than traditional cam latches, making them useful for doors that have a seal. Lift the handle and turn it a quarter- or half-turn to close, then push it down to create full compression and minimize rattling from vibration.
All of these latches include one or more cams with an adjustable latching distance. They handle a wide range of latching distances, so they’re best for tasks when precise distances are unknown. Adjust the position of the cam before you begin to install them.
Aluminum latches are lighter in weight then stainless steel latches, but not as corrosion resistant.

Lift-and-Turn Tight-Hold T-Handle Keyed Alike Cam Locks
Lift the handle and turn it a quarter-turn to close, then push it down to reach full compression for a secure hold. Also known as compression cam locks, these locks create a tighter hold than standard cam locks on cabinet doors and file drawers in high-vibration environments, making them useful for doors that have a seal. The tight hold also reduces rattling from vibration. Since these locks are keyed alike, you can open several locks with the same key. They have an adjustable latching distance and multiple cams to adapt to a wider range of distances than other locks with a fixed latching distance. They’re best when precise distances are unknown.
Aluminum locks have good corrosion resistance and they’re lighter in weight than stainless steel locks.
