Also known as occupancy sensors, these controls turn lights on when movement is detected and off when an area is unoccupied. All have a time delay to turn lights off after a set time.
Infrared sensors detect moving heat sources and require a direct view of the occupants.
Infrared/ultrasonic sensors minimize false activation by detecting changes in heat sources and motion. They can be set so that only one or both detection methods are required to activate and hold lights on.
Ultrasonic sensors detect movement and don’t require a direct view of the occupants.

The infrared/ultrasonic sensors minimize false activation by detecting heat and motion. They can be set so that only one or both detection methods are required to activate and hold lights on. All have a time delay to turn lights off after a set time. The mounting bracket swivels 90° so that the control can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
Power controllers (sold separately) are required to switch a 120- or 277-volt AC lighting circuit. They have a relay that switches a maximum 20 amp load.
