Corrosion-Resistant Single U-Joints

Use these U-joints in wet environments to connect and transfer torque between two shafts. Made of 303 stainless steel, they balance strength with good corrosion resistance. They’re single U-joints, so they join shafts that are misaligned at an angle. With a pin-and-block joint, they handle higher torque at lower speeds than other joint types such as those with needle bearings, making them a good choice for most applications.
To extend their life by keeping lubricant in and contaminants out, use the grooves on their body to add a cover (sometimes called bellows or boots). Drill holes through the U-joint and your shafts and then connect using spring pins.
Your shafts' misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.

Corrosion-Resistant Mil. Spec. Machinable-Bore Single U-Joints

Made to meet strict military standards for material and construction, these stainless steel U-joints also balance strength with good corrosion resistance. Customize their bores until they fit your shafts. They come apart and have a small, centered starter hole on each end to make drilling easy. Because they’re single U-joints, they connect and transfer torque between two shafts that are misaligned at an angle. They have a pin-and-block joint, so they handle higher torque at lower speeds than other joint types such as those with needle bearings, making them a good choice for most applications.
Drill holes through the U-joint and your shafts and then connect using spring pins.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.
U-joints with a ball-spring oil fitting keep lubricant in the joint.

Corrosion-Resistant Sealed Single U-Joints

Ideal for wet environments, these U-Joints are stainless steel, so they have good corrosion resistance while also balancing strength. They have a heat- and water-resistant silicone cover (also known as a boot or bellows) to keep lubricant in and contaminants out. Since they come lubricated, you don’t need to lubricate them during installation. They're single U-joints, so they connect and transfer torque between two shafts that are misaligned at an angle. A good choice for operations that run continuously, they work at higher speeds and last longer than other types of joints, thanks to their needle bearings.
Connect these U-joints to shafts using the included set screws. Unlike U-joints that use spring pins, there’s no drilling required.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.

Sanitary Sealed Single U-Joints

Often found in food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical plants, these U-joints connect misaligned shafts in sanitary environments. Their stainless steel body won't corrode from frequent washdowns with harsh chemicals and is highly polished, so there's no crevices for bacteria to grow. Their lubricant is NSF registered H1 for incidental contact with food. A heat- and water-resistant silicone cover (sometimes called a boot or bellows) seals this lubricant in and keeps out contaminants.
They’re single U-joints, so they connect and transfer torque between two shafts that are misaligned at an angle. A good choice for applications that run continuously, they operate at higher speeds and last longer than other types of joints, thanks to their needle bearings. Since they come lubricated, you won’t need to lubricate them during installation. Connect them to shafts using the included set screws. Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.
FDA-compliant U-joints have a cover that is safe for direct contact with food.

Precision Single U-Joints

A good choice when you need accurate and repeatable motion, these U-joints have zero backlash (no play), so there’s no motion lost when your shafts change direction. This keeps machines running smoothly. They’re single U-joints, so they connect and transfer torque between shafts that are misaligned at an angle.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.
Ball-bearing U-joints operate with less friction than pin-and-block joints, so they run at higher speeds. 303 stainless steel U-joints balance strength with good corrosion resistance.
U-joints that connect with set screws don’t require you to drill any holes. U-joints that connect with spring pins require you to drill holes through both the U-joint and your shafts. Spring pins are not included.
U-joints that don’t require lubrication are often used with optical devices and other sensitive equipment because they're less likely to attract dust and debris compared to lubricated U-joints. They’re also easier to maintain. Lubricated U-joints don’t require lubrication during installation.

Constant-Velocity Single U-Joints

To keep your shafts moving in sync, the flexible spring on these joints makes the output shaft move at the same rate as the input shaft. This spring also reduces vibration and compensates for more misalignment than standard single U-joints. However, these U-joints can’t handle as much torque. With zero backlash (no play), there’s no motion lost when you change direction. This keeps machines running smoothly with more accurate, repeatable motion. Made of stainless steel, these U-joints balance strength with good corrosion resistance.
A good choice for optical devices and other sensitive equipment, these U-joints don’t require lubrication or gather dust and debris. They’re also easier to maintain than lubricated U-joints. They work well in assemblies that change frequently because you can quickly loosen their clamping screw to move them. This screw holds these U-joints in place without damaging your shafts. Unlike U-joints that use spring pins, there’s no drilling required.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.

Lengthen and shorten these telescoping U-joints to fit your application. They’re a good choice when you need accurate and repeatable motion because they have zero backlash (no play), so there’s no motion lost when your shafts change direction. This keeps machines running smoothly. As double U-joints, they connect and transfer torque between two shafts that are either parallel to each other or are misaligned at an angle. They also keep parallel shafts moving in sync by making the output shaft move at the same rate as the input shaft. With ball bearings, there’s less friction than pin-and-block joints, so they run at higher speeds. Made of stainless steel, they balance strength without sacrificing corrosion resistance.
Since they come lubricated, you won’t need to lubricate them during installation. Drill holes through the U-joint and your shafts and then connect using spring pins.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.

Precision Double U-Joints

Since these U-joints have zero backlash (no play), there’s no motion lost when your shafts change direction, so machines move smoothly with more accurate, repeatable motion. As double U-joints, they connect and transfer torque between two shafts that are either parallel to each other or are misaligned at an angle. They also keep parallel shafts moving in sync by making the output shaft move at the same rate as the input shaft. And because their ball bearings operate with less friction than pin-and-block joints, they run at higher speeds. Made of stainless steel, these U-joints balance strength with good corrosion resistance.
They come lubricated, so you won’t need to lubricate them during installation. Connect them to shafts using the included set screws. Unlike U-joints that use spring pins, there’s no drilling required.
Your shafts’ misalignment will affect the speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit. The more the shafts are misaligned, the less speed and torque the U-joint will be able to transmit.
