Square Bits for Impact Drivers

The toughest bits available, these withstand the shock and twisting force of impact drivers. They're designed for screws with a square recess in the head and are also known as Robertson bits.
Hex shank bits (also known as insert bits) are used in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.
Hex shank bits for power tools have a groove in the shank and fit directly into power tools without an adapter. They offer more reach for recessed holes and less wobble compared to a hex shank bit used with an adapter.
Diamond-coated bits have added wear resistance.

Square Bits for Stainless Steel Screws

Protect your stainless steel screws by using a stainless steel bit. If steel flakes off a standard bit and into the recess, it can lead to rust and contamination. These bits eliminate that risk. Designed for screws with a square recess in the head, they are also known as Robertson bits. Also called insert bits, use in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.
Reversible Square Bits

Turn two fastener sizes with one reversible bit—remove and replace to change the size. Designed for screws with a square recess in the head, these are also known as Robertson bits. Also called insert bits, use in hand drivers.

Depth-Limiting Square Bits

An exterior stop collar prevents fasteners from being driven too deep. Use these bits with soft material such as drywall, wood, and fiberboard. Designed for screws with a square recess in the head, they are also known as Robertson bits.
Square/Phillips Bits

While screws with a Square/Phillips combination drive can be turned with either a Square or Phillips bit, these make the best contact so you can apply high torque without slipping and stripping the recess. They are also known as Quadrex bits.

Triple Square Bits

These bits are shaped like a 12-pointed star. They're also known as XZN bits and insert bits used in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Double Square Bits

The tip is shaped like an eight-pointed star. Also known as insert bits, use these in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Tamper-Resistant Square Bits

An opening at the tip accommodates the pin in the recess of tamper-resistant square screws. These bits have a groove in the shank to fit directly into power tools without an adapter.
Bit Assortments
These assortments contain general-purpose bits.
Hex shank bits (also known as insert bits) are used in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools.

Square Bit Sets

Designed for screws with a square recess in the head, these are also known as Robertson bits.
Bit Screwdrivers

Insert a bit into the shaft and a magnet holds it in place.
Ultra-grip drivers have a multicomponent handle that provides comfort and the best possible grip for achieving maximum torque. These drivers come with double sided bits.

Tight-Clearance Ratcheting Bit Screwdrivers

A ratchet mechanism allows you to drive fasteners when there's little space to move the handle.
Style E have seven interchangeable bits—all of which are compatible with power tools. Store them inside the handle so they don’t get lost or misplaced when you’re not using them. Bits are held in place by magnets. To use these screwdrivers as a nutdriver, remove the bit and turn fasteners with the shaft.

Reversible-Bit Screwdriver/Nutdrivers

Bits have a different tip at each end and snap into the shaft. A ball detent holds the bit in place. To use as nutdriver, remove the bit and turn fasteners with the shaft, which is also reversible.
Ultra-grip drivers have a multicomponent handle that provides comfort and the best possible grip for achieving maximum torque. Those with a voltage detector safely test for AC voltage without contacting live wires. Light and sound indicators alert you when over 50 volts AC is detected. The detector is attached to the tool’s handle; remove it from the handle to use it on its own. Bits turn eight screw sizes and the shaft three external hex sizes.
Cushion-grip drivers offer comfort and some slip resistance. Bits turn eight screw sizes and the shaft three external hex sizes.

Torque Screwdriver and Bit Sets

These sets include an adjustable torque driver, bits for different drive styles, and a socket adapter. To adjust torque, remove the black vinyl end cap and turn the attached adjustment key. When set torque is reached, the driver slips to disengage and stop turning the fastener, preventing overtightening. Sets come with a calibration certificate that is traceable to NIST and includes the test measurements that confirm accuracy.
Note: Accuracy ratings do not apply to the lower 20% of the torque range.
