Phones with a sealed keypad keep out dirt and moisture. They are made from glass-filled polyester to withstand corrosion and extreme temperatures.
Optional text telephone adapters make it easier for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired to use these phones to communicate, by letting them send and receive typed messages. They’re also known as TTY, TDD, and teletypewriters.
