Because they make less contact with the parts they cover, they’re easier to remove than straight caps. In a pinch, you can flip tapered caps over and use them as plugs.

    No-Spill Caps

    Even if beakers, bottles, and flasks are tipped upside down, liquids stay sealed inside. Tug on the tabs to stretch these caps over openings. Not only are they are safer and more secure than foil or film covers, they can be used again and again. Autoclave to sterilize, or just toss in the dishwasher.
