Metric Alloy Steel Shoulder Screws

Comparable to Class 12.9 steel, these alloy steel shoulder screws are the strongest we offer. They have a standard shoulder with an undersized tolerance to fit most machinery and equipment. Also known as stripper bolts, they're commonly used in punch and die assemblies, and as an axle or pivot point.

Metric 18-8 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

Made from 18-8 stainless steel, these shoulder screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. A standard shoulder with an undersized tolerance allows them to fit most machinery and equipment. They’re often used to guide or align components, and as an axle or pivot point.

Metric 316 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

More corrosion resistant than 18-8 stainless steel shoulder screws, these have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. They may be mildly magnetic. A standard shoulder with an undersized tolerance allows them to fit most machinery and equipment. They’re often used to guide or align components, and as an axle or pivot point.
Black-oxide stainless steel screws have a matte black finish.

Metric 18-8 Stainless Steel Precision Shoulder Screws

Made of 18-8 stainless steel, these shoulder screws have good corrosion resistance and may be mildly magnetic. With a shoulder diameter that is twice as precise as our general purpose shoulder screws, they provide smooth, accurate movement. Use them where precision matters, such as in measuring devices, optical fixtures, and laboratory equipment.

Metric Slotted 18-8 Stainless Steel Precision Shoulder Screws

With a shoulder that’s twice as precise as standard shoulder screws, these metric shoulder screws act as a shaft or axle for bearings and other moving parts in applications that require smooth and accurate movement, such as measuring and lab equipment. Their head keeps the rotating and sliding parts in place. You can also use these screws as alignment guides in punch-and-die mechanisms, plastic-injection-mold sets, and other linear motion applications. Made of 18-8 stainless steel, they’re nearly as strong as steel but won’t rust in outdoor or washdown environments. Shoulder screws are sometimes known as shoulder bolts and stripper bolts.
Screws with a low profile have a head height that's about two-thirds the head height of a standard shoulder screw. Use them in low-clearance applications such as inside machines. These screws meet DIN 923, an international standard for shoulder screw dimensions.
