Ring Shims
Precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on fasteners, shafts, and machinery with these shims.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment.
Stainless steel shims are more corrosion resistant than steel shims. 316 stainless steel shims have the best corrosion resistance of our stainless steel shims.
PTFE plastic shims are slippery, so they can be used to reduce friction between parts. They also have excellent chemical resistance.

Shims for Keyed Shafts
Precisely shaped to fit snugly on keyed shafts, these shims align, level, and space components. Because of their tight fit, they also help components rotate in unison with the shaft.
Shims with a notch need the key inserted. They’re often referred to as arbor spacers.
Stainless steel shims are more corrosion resistant than carbon steel shims. Use them in wet environments where rust is a concern.

Slotted Shims
The slot lets you insert, remove, and adjust the shims without disassembling your machinery, while the tab keeps fingers and tools away from machine feet. Use an insertion tool (sold separately) for better leverage and reach. Shims are etched with the thickness.
18-8 stainless steel shims have a balance of strength and corrosion resistance.

Shim Stock
Cut it into custom shapes to fit your application. Sheets come flat packed.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment. Metal shims include a material certificate with traceable lot number. Most shims include a test report.
Stainless steel shim stock is more corrosion resistant than steel shim stock.
Spring steel shim stock is comparable in strength to carbon steel shim stock, but is harder and holds its shape better. It isn't as corrosion resistant as other shims.
PTFE plastic shim stock is slippery, so it can be used to reduce friction between parts. It also has excellent chemical resistance.

Painted aluminum shim stock is stronger than plastic stock. It includes a material certificate with traceable lot number and test report.
Plastic shim stock works well in light duty applications. It's easier to cut than aluminum stock.
