Hazardous Location Digital Bench-Top Scales
Safely weigh material in hazardous environments—these scales operate with low voltages so they won’t create sparks. All meet NEC ratings for hazardous environments where flammable gases and vapors are present.
These scales are among the most accurate bench-top scales we offer, so you don’t have to compromise precision for safety. They have multiple modes: check weighing notifies you if an item falls outside of a certain weight range, and the tare function resets the scale to zero after placing a container on the platform. A backlit LCD display lets you easily read out measurements in low lighting.
Round- and rectangular-platform scales have a counting mode to keep tally as you add or remove pieces. They run for 200 hours on four AA batteries (sold separately). Use a carrying case (sold separately) for secure transport.

Washdown Legal-For-Trade Floor Scales with Remote Display
These scales are NTEP approved as legal for trade and have an IP69K rated load cell for use in washdown environments. They withstand exposure to dust and moisture, including the frequent high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns commonly used in outdoor industrial environments, food processing facilities, and chemical plants. Plus, the scale-to-display junction box meets NEMA 4X standards for protection against washdowns and corrosion.
Also known as platform scales, these have a low profile so you only need to lift heavy objects 3" off the ground. Their stainless steel construction and a ribbed structural underside give them the necessary support to weigh thousands of pounds at a time. To keep items in place, a diamond tread on the platform provides slip resistance. The load cells in these scales are FM approved, so they’ve been tested for quality and safety by Factory Mutual.
Subtract the weight of a container with the tare function to weigh only the material inside. Use the counting mode to keep a running tally of how many items are on the scale.
Mount the remote display at a distance on a workstation, column, or wall—the connecting cable is 22 feet long. The backlit display features 1"-tall digits for easy reading.
Install optional ramps to slide or wheel heavy loads onto scales. If you install two ramps, they must be on opposite ends.

Configurable Tension and Compression Force Sensors
Calibrate these sensors to your desired capacity to measure tension, compression, or both. Also known as load cells, they measure and track the forces of your equipment by converting them into electrical signals. Send these signals to your computer or programmable logic controller (PLC) to monitor, document, and trigger actions in your machinery.
When choosing a sensor, consider whether you’ll be measuring tension, compression, or both. Select sensors with a capacity rating higher than the greatest load you expect them to receive. They’re designed to briefly handle forces 1.5 times their load capacity to protect from overload. Choose between a rectangle, round, or S-shape sensor to best suit your application.
IP-rated sensors seal out dust. IP67 sensors won’t fail if briefly submerged.
Legal-for-trade sensors are NTEP approved for use with equipment that measures materials sold by weight.

Rectangle sensors are also known as single-point or shear beam load cells. They can be used in multiples across surfaces to measure uneven loads. They’re often used in bench-top and floor scales where loads are often unbalanced. They’re also used in packaging, machine bins, conveyors, and chutes.

Ready-to-Use Tension and Compression Force Sensor Kits
With a sensor that’s already calibrated and everything you need to relay data, these kits come ready to operate. Use them to measure forces in equipment and send the data directly to a computer or programmable logic controller (PLC) to monitor, document, and trigger actions in machinery. They’re also used as the foundation within custom-built scales and force gauges, and to measure force in crash tests and other quality control processes. These sensors are also known as load cells.
PC connection kits link to a computer, tablet, or LCD display. All include a calibrated force sensor, a data conversion hub, and data-recording software. The conversion hub turns electrical signals from the sensor into usable force measurements. The software plots and analyzes measurements, so you can track high, low, and average values over time. It can also set off connected alarms or notify you when readings fall outside a set range. Export the data to Microsoft Excel and other analytical software such as MATLAB and LabVIEW. Wired PC connection kits come with a 6-ft. hub-to-PC USB cord. PLC connection kits send an analog signal to your PLC to trigger actions such as diverting items that exceed a certain weight on a conveyor. They include a calibrated sensor and a data conversion hub. They’re not for use with LCD displays.
IP rated sensors seal out dust. IP67 rated sensors won’t fail if briefly submerged.
