Sanding Rolls

These rolls are coated with aluminum oxide, which is the most common abrasive material and hard enough to sand steel and wood. Rolls can be cut to length.

Water-Resistant Sanding Rolls

These rolls resist deterioration when used wet or with grease, chemicals, cutting fluids, and other solvents that may be present when sanding. They can be cut to length. Aluminum oxide is the most common abrasive, hard enough to sand steel and wood. To achieve uniform, close-tolerance finishes on your work surface, choose a roll with a listed micron grade.
Plastic film backing resists tearing and bends like cloth, plus it has a high-friction coating to prevent slipping on the work surface—particularly good while wet sanding.
Not all grits are available in all lengths.

Cushioned Sanding Rolls

A cushioned layer lets you apply more even sanding pressure on your workpiece, creating finer and more consistent finishes. Rolls with cloth and foam backing can be cut to length.
Silicon carbide is one of the sharpest abrasives. It cuts through soft metals and nonmetals with ease, and it generates minimal heat to prevent material buildup.

Sanding Rolls for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

The sharp abrasive on these rolls sands hard metals like stainless steel, nickel, and iron. These rolls can be cut to length.
Silicon carbide is one of the sharpest abrasives and generates minimal heat to prevent material buildup. It is better at fine finishes and polishing than ceramic alumina.

Adhesive-Back Sanding Rolls

Cut the length you need, then stick to your sanding tool. When it’s time to change the sheet, peel it off. A coating prevents dust and debris from building up on the abrasive surface.
