Heavy Duty Sanding Rolls
A thicker, heavier construction than standard rolls withstands tough sanding. These rolls are coated with aluminum oxide, which is the most common abrasive material and hard enough to sand steel and wood. It costs less than silicon carbide but is less sharp and takes longer to abrade.
Cloth backing is flexible and resists tearing, so it’s more durable than paper backing.

Water-Resistant Sanding Rolls
These rolls resist deterioration when used wet or with grease, chemicals, cutting fluids, and other solvents that may be present when sanding. They can be cut to length. Aluminum oxide is the most common abrasive, hard enough to sand steel and wood. To achieve uniform, close-tolerance finishes on your work surface, choose a roll with a listed micron grade.
Cloth backing resists tearing and can withstand continual bending.
Not all grits are available in all lengths.

Hook and Loop Vacuum Sanding Rolls for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals
Holes allow dust removal when used with a vacuum sander to prevent buildup of debris on the abrasive surface. Cut these rolls to the size you need or tear them at the perforated lines every 2 ¾”—with dozens of small holes, they can be used with any style of vacuum sander, regardless of its hole configuration. Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls
As the outer layer wears away, new abrasive is exposed. Also known as cartridge rolls. A shank adapter or tapered spindle with a shank is required (both sold separately). The most common abrasive material, aluminum oxide is hard enough to sand steel and wood. The diameter listed is for the large end of the roll.
Cone rolls are for use in holes. Unlike tapered rolls, they have a flat surface to allow for a more even finish within internal surfaces.
