Cushioned Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

The cushioned construction gives you more control over sanding pressure, creating finer and more consistent finishes. These discs resist deterioration when used wet. Press onto a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately); peel off to remove. Also known as PSA discs. To maintain strong adhesion, clean the pad surface with mild alcohol before applying. Do not use aggressive cleaning solvents such as MEK or acetone, which can damage the adhesive.

When you need to achieve a more consistent finish, choose nylon mesh sanding discs over paper- or cloth-backed discs. The mesh flexes to compensate for uneven sanding pressure as you sand. It's embedded with aluminum oxide, the most common abrasive, which is hard enough to sand steel and wood. Quickly attach, remove, and reuse these discs with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately).
Extra coarse grade is for heavy cleaning and stripping.
Coarse grade is for light deburring and removing heavy rust and surface imperfections.
Medium grade is for moderate blending, cleaning, light deburring, and general finishing.
Very fine grade is for polishing and final finishing.

Fast-Cutting Nylon Mesh Cushioned Hook and Loop Sanding Discs

The nylon mesh on these discs is embedded with precision-shaped ceramic alumina, which cuts through hard metals like stainless steel faster than other forms of ceramic alumina because of its sharp, outwardly pointed grit. The grain particles continually fracture to produce new, sharp cutting edges while maintaining their specially engineered points and angle. The design also reduces heat generation while sanding, which prevents the grit from wearing down. These discs are also good for sanding steel and soft metals.

When you need to achieve a more consistent finish, choose nylon mesh sanding discs over paper- or cloth-backed discs. The mesh flexes to compensate for uneven sanding pressure as you sand. It's embedded with ceramic alumina, which has grit that continually fractures to produce new, sharp cutting edges. Ceramic alumina is sharp and dense enough to shape hard metals such as stainless steel, nickel, and cast iron without dulling quickly. It sands faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide but requires more force to abrade properly. Quickly attach, remove, and reuse discs with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately).
