RTD Probes for Liquids and Gases
Obtain more precise and reliable liquid and gas temperature measurements than thermocouple probes. Some of these probes meet DIN standards for accuracy, meaning they’re precise even with fast temperature changes.
IP67-rated probes have plug connections that stand up to dust and temporary submersion. IP68- and IP69K-rated probes have plug connections that can handle brief submersion and harsh washdowns.

Threaded RTD Probes for Liquids and Gases

With an NPT male probe connection, these RTDs are ready to install in thermowells and other fittings on pipe and tanks. They’re often used to measure temperature in water lines and low-pressure steam lines. Made of stainless steel, these probes resist corrosion and shield the RTD sensor inside from impact. They can also be installed in a bore to measure the temperature of molds and dies.
Fixed probes can be used directly in liquid or steam because they’re welded to their fitting for a liquid-tight seal.
Spring-loaded probes help ensure accurate readings in vibration-heavy environments. A spring inside the fitting pushes the probe forward, so the probe tip maintains contact with the end of a thermowell. However, these probes aren’t liquid-tight, so they must be installed inside a thermowell or protection sleeve.

Threaded RTD Probes with Thermowell for Liquids and Gases

To protect against vibration and shock during temperature measurements, these RTD probes come with a thermowell. Made of stainless steel, it acts as a shield for added protection from corrosion in liquids and gases. The thermowell also lets you replace the probe sensor without stopping flow or draining your system. For accurate readings, a spring pushes the probe tip forward, keeping the tip in constant contact with the thermowell. Rated IP65 and NEMA 4, these probes seal out dust and water from washdowns. Remove the cap on the head to wire the probe’s terminal block to your application.

Dual-Output Threaded RTD Probes for Liquids and Gases

Send temperature readings to two separate devices—these probes have two RTD sensors inside. For example, one RTD might connect to a data logger while the other connects to a PLC that automates processes based on temperature. These probes have an NPT male threaded fitting, so they’re ready to install in thermowells and other fittings on pipe and tanks. For direct immersion in liquid and gas processes, such as water lines and low-pressure steam lines, the fitting is welded to the sheath to fully enclose the RTDs. The sheath protects the sensors from impact. You can also install these probes in a bore to measure the temperature of molds and dies.

RTD Probes with Armored Cable for Liquids and Gases

For long service life in harsh conditions, these RTD probes have an armored stainless steel cable to protect wiring from corrosion, abrasion, and impact. Stainless steel also encases the probes, keeping them safe if they get hit and from liquids when they’re immersed. They are often installed in a bore to measure the temperature of molds, dies, and other equipment.
Probes with strain relief offer extra support for moving cables. They also help avoid kinking for longer cable life.

Cut-to-Length RTD Probes for Liquids and Gases

For a perfect fit in a thermowell, trim these probes with a pipe cutter. Stainless steel protects the sensing element from impact and liquids when they’re immersed. They are often installed in a bore to measure the temperature of molds, dies, and other equipment.

Threaded RTD Probe Transmitters for Liquids and Gases
Send temperature readings directly to programmable logic controllers (PLCs)—with a built-in 4-20mA transmitter, these RTDs don’t require a separate signal converter. They have an NPT male probe connection, so they’re ready to screw into thermowells and other fittings on pipe and tanks. Made of 316 or 316L stainless steel, they resist corroding from harsh cleaning chemicals. This stainless steel also protects the RTD sensor inside from impact. They are also often installed in bores to measure the temperature of molds and dies. CE marked, they meet European safety standards.
RTDs with a screw terminal connection have a cap you can remove to wire the RTD’s terminal block to your application.
Spring-loaded RTDs are not liquid-tight, so they must be installed in a thermowell or protection tube. The spring inside the fitting pushes the probe against the thermowell to provide an accurate reading.

Sanitary RTD Probe Transmitters with Digital Display for Liquids and Gases
Check the temperature of liquids in hygienic applications such as food or pharmaceutical lines and tanks. Certified by 3-A to meet sanitary design standards, the parts of these probes that will touch liquid are highly polished to minimize spots where bacteria could grow. They're made of stainless steel, so they won't corrode from harsh cleaners and sanitizers. The housing is IP69K rated, meaning it withstands high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns that are common in hygienic cleaning practices. They have a flange that will connect to sanitary quick-clamp fittings (also known as tri-clamp fittings); they're easy to connect and remove from your line.
Program these probes with the touch screen, and select one of three colors as a visual alert for events in your process such as irregular or fluctuating temperatures. The head swivels 345° and the face rotates all the way around, so you can mount the sensor at any angle and still see the display. To trigger actions in your process line, connect these probes to remote displays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other control equipment with the M12 plug. These probes meet DIN EN 60751, an industry standard for accuracy. They’re also CE marked, meaning they meet European Union safety standards.
