Scratch-Resistant Screw-to-Install Rivet Nuts
A PVC coating minimizes scratches to the surface of your material and makes these rivet nuts more corrosion resistant than zinc-plated steel nuts. Install these nuts in sheet metal with only a screw, no special tools required. Large slits in the body collapse and flare out as you thread the screw in, creating a flange on the back of your material. That backside flange distributes force, preventing these rivet nuts from pulling through thin surfaces. They add permanent threads into material that’s too thin to be tapped. Installation requires access to only one side of your surface.
For even quicker installation than threading a screw, use a rivet nut tool. Length is measured from under the flange.
