Guide derailed wheels back onto tracks. These rerailers must be used in pairs—one for the left track, and one for the right. To hold them securely in place, thread the chain between ties and under the rail, then hook it onto the opposite side of the rerailer.

If the leading axle is derailed, position rerailers directly behind the front wheels and back the railcar into them. If the trailing axle is derailed, place rerailers in front of the rear wheels and pull the railcar forward.
