All of these washers are lightweight, nonconductive, and naturally rust resistant. They are commonly used in electronics and automation applications to take the pressure off screws and nuts and protect mounting surfaces.
Acid-Resistant PVC—A great choice for chemical-processing lines, these washers won't degrade when exposed to harsh acids, alkalis, and alcohols. They are also good electrical insulators.

High-Pressure Bonded Sealing Washers
Tested to hold up to high pressures, these washers create the strongest seal of all to lock in air and fluid and keep equipment running efficiently. They are often used on flanged connections to prevent leaks in pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors, and other pressurized lines. The flexible rubber or plastic layer compresses to fills gaps, while the metal backing stops the washer from squeezing through the hole.

Install these washers under screw heads and nuts. When compressed, the PVC sealant squeezes into every crevice, creating an impervious 360° seal that stops liquids or gases from trickling along the length of the screw. These washers are not reusable.
18-8 Stainless Steel and PVC—The PVC sealant resists acids, alcohols, solvents, and detergents. However, the metal is more likely to rust than 316 stainless steel.
Chemical-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel and PVC—Every part of these washers resists acids, alcohols, solvents, and other aggressive substances. They are commonly used in harsh environments, such chemical processing plants.

With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, these shims precisely align, space, and level components on shafts, arbors, and machinery.
You can stack multiple shims to achieve your exact thickness, but stacking more than four may cause them to shift. Remember, fewer shims are better, so a couple of thicker shims are more stable than a bunch of thin shims.
Color-Coded Plastic—These shims are color coded by thickness to quickly spot and grab the right size every time. Softer than metal, they won't mar
delicate surfaces and they will never rust.

When you don’t know the exact shim thickness you’ll need, keep multiple shim thicknesses on hand so you always have the right one. With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, these shims precisely align, space, and level components on shafts, arbors, and machinery.
You can stack multiple shims to achieve your exact thickness, but stacking more than four may cause them to shift. Remember, fewer shims are better, so a couple of thicker shims are more stable than a bunch of thin shims.
