Mount latches horizontally to the face of the door with the strike plate mounted on the frame. To determine door mounting location, look at the outside face of the door: if the hinges are on the right, order a right-side latch; if the hinges are on the left, order a left-side latch.

Door offset is the space between the door face and the frame when the door is closed. Pressure release force is the amount of pressure an enclosed area can sustain before the latch opens.
