Arc-Flash-Protection Hoods
These hoods meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 4. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Each hood has a hard hat with adjustable headgear and a face shield with an antifog coating.
Optional fan (sold separately) mounts on your hood and pumps air inside using a fan motor. It operates on four AA batteries (not included).

Replace the filter on your respirator when breathing becomes difficult.
N95 filters filter out 95% of solid particles. They are not oil resistant.
N99 filters filter out 99% of solid particles. They are not oil resistant.
P95 filters resist oil exposure for up to 40 hours and filter out 95% of solid particles.
P100 filters resist oil exposure for up to 40 hours and filter out 99.97% of solid particles.

Powered Air-Purifying Respirators
These mobile respirators filter contaminants to deliver breathable air without the need for an air line connection. The pump sits on your back to allow unrestricted movement, so these respirators are often used in welding, painting, and pharmaceutical applications. Made of Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tychem QC), these hood respirators have two layers: an outer bib for overspray protection and an inner bib that tucks into your clothing for splash protection. Respirators include a rechargeable lithium ion (Li-Ion) battery that provides approximately four hours of continuous use when fully charged. Respirators have a ratchet suspension that adjusts with an easy-turn knob.
Supplied-Air Hood Respirators for Air Pumps
When connected to an air pump, respirators provide a continuous supply of clean air. They have a chemical-resistant Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tyvek QC) hood that protects against light liquid splashes. Tuck the hood with outer bib and inner bib into your clothing for splash protection.
Pinlock suspension hats adjust with interlocking straps. Ratchet suspensions adjust with an easy-turn knob.
Add extension hose (sold separately) to increase your span up to 300 ft. To maintain NIOSH approval, respirators must be used with the hoses listed.

Manifolds for Supplied-Air Respirators for Plant Air Lines
Divert compressed air from a single line to two respirators. Often used in plants with limited air sources, these manifolds allow two workers to share the same line. Shaped like a briefcase, they’re easy to tote around your facility—use them up to 300 ft. from an air source. The case is polypropylene, so it’s durable enough to hold up to wear and tear.

Filters for Supplied-Air Respirators for Plant Air Lines
Remove moisture, odors, and particles from your compressed air line before they reach respirators. These filters have a seven-stage purification process that captures particles as small as 0.5 microns. The mounting bracket doubles as a carrying handle to move them between air connection points in your facility.
To meet the OSHA standard for Grade D breathable air, these filters must be used with a carbon monoxide monitor to confirm that CO levels are safe. Replace filter inserts after five hundred hours of run time or if there’s a drop in pressure.

Emergency Respirators
Block out smoke or gas in seconds during emergencies. These respirators come in a pouch, so they’re easy to store and pull out when needed. Simply slip them on—they fit a variety of head sizes. The filter works for 15 minutes, so you have enough time to safely leave your dangerous environment. If it’s dark, dusty, or smoky, their bright yellow color makes you easier to see.

Welding Face Masks
These face masks are double-layered to protect your head from radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks. They are designed to meet NFPA 1971 standards for structural firefighting. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
Nomex aramid is heavier than PBI, yet breathable and moisture wicking. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. This is the most common PPE category for standard industrial applications.
PBI is lightweight and provides better wear- and heat-resistance than Nomex.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Face Masks
Protect your head from electrical arc flashes. These face masks won’t melt or drip when exposed to intermittent flames. They meet NFPA 70E standards for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Masks are soft, breathable, and washable.
Westex® UltraSoft® Rib fabric is a lightweight material that’s 88% flame-resistant cotton and 12% nylon knit.
CarbonX fabric is double-layered for better flame resistance than Westex® UltraSoft® Rib fabric.
Disposable Hoods
Breathable to keep you cool and comfortable, these hoods protect against dirt and grime. An elastic face opening keeps hair in and contaminants out.
Polypropylene offers economical protection in environments where abrasion resistance and liquid splashes are not a concern.
Tyvek polyethylene provides better tear and abrasion resistance than polypropylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers that form a barrier that's soft yet strong.
Kleenguard polypropylene is made of five layers of nonwoven fabric, so it is more abrasion resistant and harder to tear than Tyvek polyethylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The material is antistatic, so it protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharge.
Clean Room Hoods
Designed to meet clean room standards, these hoods act as a barrier between the worker and the room to prevent pollutants, such as dust particles and microbes, from contaminating a space.
Lower clean room classes have fewer and smaller contaminants.
Tyvek polyethylene holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers for a material that’s soft yet strong. These hoods are disposable.
Polyester greatly outlasts Tyvek polyethylene. It withstands liquid splashes and abrasion and is reusable when laundered to clean room standards—lasts for up to 100 washes. Must be laundered prior to first use.
Shop Hoods
These hoods protect against paint and dust. Wear with protective eyewear.
Style A are also known as paint spray hoods. The interior is large enough to wear a respirator under the hood. These hoods are made of lightweight, breathable cotton with a polycarbonate lens.
Style B are often worn during abrasive blasting and grinding jobs. They are made of durable cotton duck fabric with an acrylic lens that is reinforced with a mesh screen. An internal bump cap protects your head against impact from flying debris. Mesh vents on the sides and back provide some breathability.
