Bar Code Scanners
Capture data and automatically input it into any Windows or Mac application without additional software. These scanners have built-in decoders that read the most common bar codes.
Laser scanners have a longer range than CCD scanners and deliver good results when reading bar codes on rounded surfaces. They can also transmit global trade item numbers (GTINs). The included holder has a gooseneck for angling in any direction.
CCD (charged coupled device) scanners require close contact with bar codes, which allows them to block out light that can interfere with scanning. This makes them better for use in natural light and brightly lit areas than other types of scanners.
Scanners with a Bluetooth connection read bar codes wirelessly, even those on computer and mobile phone displays.
2D scanners read 1D and 2D bar codes, even those on computer and mobile phone displays. This type of scanner can read lower-quality bar codes than laser and CCD scanners. Program 2D Bluetooth scanners to automatically read bar codes for hands-free use. They have an adjustable-height charging base that can be mounted to walls. 2D Bluetooth scanners are safe for use in dirty and wet environments.
Scanners that cannot be sold to the listed regions are restricted due to energy efficiency and/or export regulations.
