Nylon-Insert Press-Fit Locknuts for Sheet Metal

A nylon insert in these press-fit locknuts grips threads to prevent screws from loosening while knurls on the bottom hold these locknuts firmly in place. Use these locknuts to add permanent threads to sheet metal, similar to weld nuts but without the setup and mess. Also known as clinch-style captive nuts, press them into a drilled or punched hole with an arbor press or installation tool. The pressure forms your sheet metal into the knurls of the locknut, making the locknut inseparable from the sheet. Installation requires access to both sides of the panel.
Zinc-plated and cadmium yellow-chromate plated steel locknuts resist corrosion in wet environments.
