Easy-Access Base-Mounted Shaft Supports
Made with two pieces, these shaft supports secure your shaft parallel to your mounting surface and make it easy to access the shaft without having to slide it out or uninstall the support. Use these supports when working with light to medium loads where shaft alignment is not critical. These supports are machined to have flat, square surfaces, so they can be used to align other supports and parts in your system. Tighten the included clamping screws to secure the shaft.
T-shaped supports have mounting flanges on the side. Mount these supports to a surface from either the top or bottom using the unthreaded holes.
Low-profile T-shaped supports are shorter and narrower than standard T-shape supports, so they are good for tight spaces. Mount these supports to a surface from either the top or bottom using the unthreaded holes.
L-shaped supports have a mounting flange on one face of the support. They are narrower than T-shaped supports. Mount these supports to a surface from either the top or bottom using the unthreaded holes.
Rectangular supports do not have a mounting flange. They are the most compact support we offer. Mount these supports to a surface from the bottom using the tapped holes.
Aluminum supports are lightweight and resist corrosion. Stainless steel supports resist corrosion better than aluminum supports.

Base-Mounted Shaft Supports
For use with light to medium loads where shaft alignment is not critical, these shaft supports brace the end of a linear shaft along the ground or other flat surface. They are T-shaped, so the mounting flanges are on the side. Mount the support to a surface from either the top or bottom using the unthreaded holes. Slide the shaft in to install, then tighten the included clamping screw to secure the shaft.
Aluminum supports are lightweight and corrosion resistant. Iron shaft supports are heavier than aluminum shaft supports for a more stable mount.
Machined supports have flat, square surfaces, so they can be used to align other supports and parts in your system.

Machinable Easy-Access Base-Mounted Shaft Supports
Create a support that fits the exact dimensions of your shaft to brace it along a flat surface. Good for use with square- and hex-profile shafts, these aluminum supports also work with round shafts of any diameter up to 1". Use them for light-to-medium-load linear motion applications where shaft alignment is not critical. These supports are T-shaped, so the mounting flanges are on the side. Mount the support to a surface from either the top or bottom using the unthreaded holes. These supports are machined to have flat, square surfaces, so they can be used to align other supports and parts in your system.
Supports come with spacers between the two halves. For a snug fit, leave the spacers in place when machining, then remove before installing the shaft. Tighten the included clamping screws to secure the shaft.

A removable collar allows access to the shaft without unbolting the flange. For use with light to medium loads where shaft alignment is not critical, these supports allow you to hold linear shafts perpendicular to the mounting surface. Secure the shaft by tightening the clamping screw. These supports are machined to have flat, square surfaces, so they can be used to align other supports and parts in your system.
Aluminum shaft supports are lightweight and resist corrosion. Stainless steel shaft supports resist corrosion better than aluminum supports.

Flange-Mounted Shaft Supports
These shaft supports hold linear shafts perpendicular to the mounting surface. They’re made of aluminum, which is lightweight and resists corrosion. Use them with light to medium loads where shaft alignment is not critical. Loosen the clamping screw to install, then tighten to secure.
Machined supports have flat, square surfaces, so they can be used to align other supports and parts in your system.

Support-Rail Shafts
These shafts include a support rail for a stable setup that eliminates bending and prevents linear bearings from rotating. Shafts have a smooth surface to reduce friction and wear on linear bearings—the lower the microinch value a shaft has, the smoother its finish and the less friction it will create. They are case-hardened to increase hardness and wear resistance on the surface of the shaft while allowing the center to remain soft for absorbing stresses caused by shifting loads. The edges are chamfered to remove sharp corners, reducing damage to bearings, housings, and other components during installation. All are turned, ground, and polished to tight diameter and straightness tolerances.
One-piece shafts reduce vibration and assembly time. Two-piece shafts allow you to replace the shaft when it becomes worn.
Ceramic-coated aluminum shafts are good for use in harsh environments; a 0.002" thick ceramic coating prevents weld spatter, molten glass, and paint from sticking to the shaft. They are lighter in weight than steel and stainless steel shafts. Because they have a soft core, they are not for use with linear ball bearings, which may dent the shaft.
Carbon steel shafts are stronger than aluminum shafts but not as corrosion resistant. These shafts balance high strength and good machinability, making them ideal for general purpose use.
Stainless steel shafts have good corrosion resistance and are stronger than aluminum shafts.
