Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Rods

- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: -40° to 240° F
- Tensile Strength: 9,100-9,500 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 2 ft.-lbs./in. (Good)
- Hardness: Rockwell M70 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D3935, ASTM D6098, FDA Compliant 21 CFR 177.1580, UL 94 HB
Use these opaque polycarbonate rods in applications where impact could damage other plastic. Polycarbonate is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon. It stands up to higher temperatures than ABS, plus it is thermoformable.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
High-Strength Glass-Filled Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Rods

- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: -40° to 265° F
- Tensile Strength: 12,000 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: 2.06 ft.-lbs./in. (Good)
- Hardness: Rockwell M87 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D3935, ASTM D6098, UL 94 HB
Stronger than standard polycarbonate rods, these glass-filled rods will better maintain their physical properties when thermoforming. Use them for structural applications. Polycarbonate is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
High-Pressure Hard Plastic Tubing for Air and Water
Excellent strength and durability allow this tubing to handle high-pressure air and water applications.
Polycarbonate tubing won’t degrade when exposed to the damaging effects of ultraviolet light. It should be used at temperatures above freezing. Tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow. It is rigid and does not bend.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.

- Rigid
- Compatible with Socket Connect Tube Fittings
- Hard (Rockwell R120)

Light Pipes for Miniature LED Light Bulbs

Display light where you need it, even when the bulb is out of reach. Often used between a circuit board and a display, these pipes carry light from a source LED and display it on the other end of their length. They protect against diffusion, so the display will be just as bright as the source. Made of polycarbonate, they resist denting, chipping, and cracking.

Impact-Resistant Plastic Pellets

Absorbing impact without cracking or breaking, these plastic pellets are molded into parts that endure bumps, scrapes, and falls. Use them with injection molders, 3D printers, and other molding equipment.
Polycarbonate pellets handle higher temperatures than any of these other materials, but they’re more difficult to thermoform. Clear in color and a lightweight alternative to glass, they’re often used to make windows, machine guards, and instrument covers.
