About Plastic

Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Sheets

Comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon, these opaque polycarbonate sheets are often made into displays and signs for areas where impact resistance is required. Similar to ABS, polycarbonate is easy to form, yet it stands up to higher temperatures.

White sheets are rated UL 972 as burglar resistant.

Clear Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Sheets and Bars

Bronze

At only half the weight of glass, these polycarbonate sheets and bars are often used for windows, machine guards, instrument gauge covers, and signs. Polycarbonate is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon. It has greater impact strength than Plexiglas® Acrylic and can be used in similar applications. Sheets and bars that meet UL 972 are rated as burglar resistant.

Enhanced UV resistance makes these polycarbonate sheets better than standard polycarbonate for outdoor use. Polycarbonate is half the weight of glass and is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.
