The most common choice for tight spaces. The split ring folds down when these pins are installed, and you can pull with just one finger to remove. Keep them from getting lost by adding a lanyard, or choose a pin that includes one. You can also attach tags to the ring to identify components. Pins have a retaining ball to hold them in place.

2011 Aluminum—These pins are one-third the weight of steel and stainless steel. Use them in automation and other applications with weight limitations. Aluminum is an alternative to stainless steel for rust resistance but isn’t as strong.
