Protect wire, cable, and hose from heat radiating off hot objects, such as molten metal. Coated in aluminized PET plastic, also known as Mylar, this sleeving reflects most heat without letting it pass through, so it can handle intermittent radiant heat up to 2000° F. The liner is a blend of aramid and Kevlar that withstands continuous temperatures up to 650° F. This sleeving is stitched together with PTFE-coated silica fiberglass threads, which are just as heat resistant as the sleeving. It doesn’t stretch, so it’s best to know the exact diameter of the items you’re protecting.

Even with walls as thin as plastic wrap, this PET plastic tubing withstands tears and nicks. Thanks to its thin walls, it shrinks down in seconds instead of minutes and at lower temperatures than PVDF and FEP plastic tubing. It also resists oil and grease.
