Electrical-Insulating Garolite XXX

- Color: Brown
- Maximum Temperature: 245° F
- Tensile Strength: 8,700 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell M110 (Extra Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
- Specifications Met: MIL-I-24768/10
More electrically insulating than Garolite XX, these tubes are often machined into insulating washers, bushings, transformer spacers, and parts of terminal boards. Made of phenolic resin with paper reinforcement, they’re lightweight yet strong. While not as strong as Garolite XX, they absorb less water, so they work well in humid environments. These tubes won’t split during machining. They also won’t wear down tooling as fast as phenolic products with glass cloth reinforcement.

Ultra-Strength Lightweight Carbon Fiber Round Tubes
Often used in place of aluminum for structural frames, machinery components, and robotics, these tubes are lighter in weight and almost as rigid. Carbon fiber is known for its use in the aerospace industry where a balance of weight and strength is vital. Thanks to these tubes being lightweight, they reduce wear and stress on motorized parts to extend the life of machinery.
Plain matte tubes have fibers that run in one direction, making them strong in the direction of the fibers. They resist bending across the fibers but will splinter and separate like string cheese when bent along the length of the fiber. Matte carbon fiber is ready to paint and won’t reflect light, making it ideal for photography applications.
