For hoses and other tight-fitting parts, apply these lubricants to rubber or plastic before assembling and disassembling. After drying, they lose their lubricity, so parts stay together. They leave no residue on assembled parts.
Semi-Synthetic-Oil Base—Semi-synthetic-oil-based lubricants are a mix of synthetic and vegetable oil and are compatible with most plastic and rubber. They’re frequently used with hoses, O-rings, seals, and rubber grips.
