Moisture- and Wear-Resistant Nylon Rods
- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -40° to 200° F
- Tensile Strength: 10,000 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 0.9 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell R114 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D5989, ASTM D6779
Often machined into tube fittings and valve components, these nylon 6/12 rods absorb less water and hold their shape better than standard nylon 6/6. They’re also better electrical insulators. They have a slippery surface that provides excellent resistance to wear caused by friction.

Moisture- and Wear-Resistant Nylon Sheets
- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -40° to 200° F
- Tensile Strength: 10,000 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 0.9 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell R114 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D5989, ASTM D6779
Because these nylon 6/12 sheets absorb less water, they hold their shape better than standard nylon 6/6. They’re also better electrical insulators. They have a slippery surface that reduces wear, so they’re often machined into valve components and other parts that are subject to friction.
