Crack-Resistant PFA Pipe Fittings for Chemicals
- For Use With: Acetic Acid, Alcohol, Salt Water
- Max. Temperature: 150° F
Not only do these PFA fittings have the chemical resistance to handle acid and salt water, they also have better crack resistance than other plastic pipe fittings for chemicals. Also known as Schedule 80 fittings, they have thick, strong walls to handle heavy duty chemical processing applications. Fittings have a super-smooth interior for unrestricted flow. They are commonly used in high-purity chemical flow processes, such as semiconductor and clean room applications, because the material won’t leach contaminates into the line. Apply a non-hardening, plastic-compatible sealant to the male threads to prevent leaks. Tape or sealants with PTFE are not recommended for plastic-to-plastic threaded connections. When making a threaded connection be careful not to overtighten the threads. To connect, finger tighten the fitting, then wrench-tighten one to two turns.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.
Sealants cannot be sold to Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Northern Virginia, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Utah due to local VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations.

Fiberglass Pipe for Corrosive Chemicals
- For Use With: Acetic Acid (75%), Alcohol, Calcium Chloride, Chlorine, Fuel Oil, Gasoline, Hydrochloric Acid (37%), Nitric Acid (10%), Oil, Phosphoric Acid, Salt Water (30%), Sodium Hydroxide (50%), Sulfuric Acid (70%), Water
- Temperature Range: 32° to 200° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM D2310, ASTM D3567
With excellent corrosion resistance, this pipe can handle a wide range of acids and other highly-corrosive chemicals. Use in metal surface treating applications, plating solution lines, and other chemical process applications. Layers of fiberglass give this pipe better strength and durability than any of our other pipe for chemicals. Pipe meets ASTM D2310 and ASTM D3567 specifications and testing requirements for product dimensions, performance, and material quality.
To connect fittings to pipe, first sand the inside of the fitting and the end of the pipe to remove the surface finish. Next, mix the adhesive (sold separately) until the color is uniform with no streaks. Apply a thin layer of mixed adhesive to the sanded area of the pipe, approximately 1/8” thick. Repeat this process with the inside of the fitting, applying a layer approximately 1/16” thick. After sealant has been applied, push the fitting onto the pipe until it is fully engaged. Finally, use the adhesive-curing heat cable (sold separately) to cure the adhesive. Wrap the tape around the pipe and fitting at the joint, taking care to not overlap the tape. Once you have waited the full cure time, the pipe and fitting will be ready to use.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.

Barbed Fittings for Plastic and Rubber Tubing—Chemicals
- For Use With: Alcohol, Coolant, Mild Bases
- Temperature Range: See table
- Tubing: Use with firm (Durometer 75A-80A) polyurethane rubber, PVC plastic, or Viton® fluoroelastomer rubber
Minimize leaks in your line—these fittings have a single barb that creates a smooth clamping surface for extra-tight connections. Fittings are polypropylene, which has very good chemical resistance as well as impact and abrasion resistance.

Plastic Push-to-Connect Tube Fittings for Chemicals
- For Use With: Inch: Alcohol, Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, Sodium Carbonate, Sulfuric Acid
Metric: Acetic Acid, Alcohol, Arsenic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Fluoboric Acid, Sodium Carbonate, Sulfuric Acid - Temperature Range: Inch: 0° to 270° F
Metric: 32° to 175° F - Tubing: Use with hard (Durometer 55D-60D) FEP plastic
Also known as instant fittings, these chemical-resistant plastic fittings connect to tubing with a push. An internal gripping ring holds the tubing tight. To disconnect, push on the release ring and pull the tubing out of the fitting. Use these fittings in low-pressure applications.
PPS fittings resist a wide variety of chemicals, although are not for use with hydrochloric acid or nitric acid. They withstand temperatures up to 175° F.
PVDF fittings offer excellent chemical resistance, and can be used with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. They withstand temperatures up to 270° F, higher than other push-to-connect fittings for chemicals. They are produced in a clean room and are bagged individually to prevent dirt and moisture from contaminating the inside. PVDF is also known as Kynar.
NPTF (Dryseal) threads are compatible with NPT threads.
