Miniature Ball Bearing Carriages and Guide Rails
These tiny carriages and guide rails are sized for electronic and other precision applications. They come furnished as a complete unit (a carriage on a guide rail). Mount in any orientation without affecting load capacity.
Note: Ball bearings do not have a cage, so they’ll fall out if the carriage is removed from the guide rail.
Mount 1 mm wd. rails with mounting brackets (sold separately; order one for each end of the guide rail).

Anti-Reflective Miniature Ball Bearing Carriages and Guide Rails
Small enough to fit in a camera zoom lens and other precision motion applications, these carriages and guide rails have a black chrome-plated finish that diffuses light to prevent reflecting light from causing equipment to malfunction. They are also useful in positioning systems that use photosensors, which are sensitive to light. The finish gives you two times more rust resistance than 440 stainless steel alone. The carriage comes already installed on the guide rail. However, the ball bearings don’t have a cage, so they’ll fall out if you remove the carriage from the guide rail. Mount them in any orientation without affecting load capacity.

Linear Ball Bearings
Bearings are for use with round end-supported shafts. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included). For bearings with retaining ring grooves, secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with end seals keep lubricant in and dust out.
Bearings with stainless steel balls are more corrosion resistant than bearings with steel balls.
Fixed-alignment bearings are for use where shaft misalignment is unlikely.

High-Load Linear Ball Bearings
Designed to handle heavy loads, these bearings have higher load capacities than comparable standard linear ball bearings. They are for use with round end-supported shafts and have a self-aligning design to compensate for shaft misalignment. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included).

Linear Sleeve Bearings
Bearings are for use with round end-supported shafts. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included) and secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance are best for precision applications. Bearings with 0.001" or 0.0015" shaft clearance are less likely to bind on your shaft than bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance.
Fixed Alignment—Bearings are for use where shaft misalignment is unlikely.
Frelon-lined bearings are wear and chemical resistant. Frelon-lined aluminum bearings have good corrosion resistance. Note: Not for use with bare aluminum, chrome-plated steel, or 300 series stainless steel shafts.

Low-Clearance External Retaining Rings
Also known as constant-section rings, these rings have open ends and a profile that does not taper like other external retaining rings. Use them with linear bearings on support rail shafts. Open rings with flat-tip retaining ring pliers (sold separately), pass them over the end of a shaft, and release to spring into the groove. The black-phosphate finish is mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.

External Retaining Rings
Open these rings, pass them over the end of a shaft, and release to spring into the groove. Ring ID is measured with the ring uninstalled. Use retaining ring pliers (sold separately) to install and remove rings.
1060-1090 spring steel rings are an economical choice with good strength. A black-phosphate finish is mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.
Thrust load capacity, also known as PR, is based on using a shaft that is harder than the ring.
