Insertion Heaters for Plates, Molds, and Dies


Also known as cartridge heaters, insertion heaters install into drilled and reamed holes in metal parts for quick heating through direct contact. They require a temperature switch or controller (sold separately) to regulate heat output.
To ensure a precise hole fit, use a reamer to enlarge the hole to an exact size and smooth the walls of the hole for the most metal-to-metal contact between the heater and the part.
Standard wire lead covering is insulation only.
Braided stainless steel wire lead covering is more abrasion and damage resistant than standard wire lead covering.
Heaters with an Incoloy sheath have tightly wound, compressed heating elements for impact and vibration resistance. They also have excellent corrosion resistance.
