Encased Neodymium Magnets with Unthreaded Hole
A case protects the magnetic material. Steel cases also concentrate and focus the magnetic field. Made of neodymium, these rare earth magnets are the strongest for their size.
Warning: Maximum pull ratings are based on direct contact with rust-free and unpainted iron plate. Variations in material condition will significantly reduce these ratings. Do not use for lifting over people.

Magnet-Backed Standoffs
The magnetic end of these standoffs makes it easy to temporarily mount or reposition components on magnetic surfaces. They’re also good for tight spaces where it’s difficult to drill a hole. All standoffs are made of metal, which concentrates and focuses the strength of the magnet inside, so they maintain their strength even on thin magnetic materials. This metal also protects the magnet from damage.
Rubber-coated stainless steel standoffs protect sensitive surfaces from damage. The rubber-coating also makes it difficult to slide these standoffs out of place.
Standoffs with a neodymium magnet are stronger and more safely support heavy connections than standoffs with an alnico magnet. Standoffs with an alnico magnet withstand temperatures up to 840° F, more than four times that of standoffs with a neodymium magnet. However, they’re not as strong as standoffs with a neodymium or other rare earth magnets.

Magnetic Latches
Often used on audio/visual cabinets, magnetic force keeps your doors closed. Note: Maximum pull-strength rating given is based on installation with the furnished strike plate; pull strength may be different based on the application.
Style 3 and 9 latches have two-piece strike plates for double doors that meet in the center.
