Electrical Panel Lockouts
Block access to your entire panel during maintenance and repairs. With these lockouts, you don’t have to spend time locking out individual breakers or fussing with traditional lockout cables. They’re sized to fit common electrical panel widths and adjust for a tight fit to keep people from opening the door. Add a padlock to lock them out and prevent accidental startups during repairs. These lockouts help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, which requires electrical circuits to be locked out for safety.
Cover lockouts are more secure and durable than cable lockouts—they consist of a rigid bar that extends to fit your panel. They’re nonconductive to protect against electric shocks. To install, hook each end under the head of an exposed screw. For wider panels, add an extension bar (sold separately). For panels without exposed screws, remove your panel and attach adapter clips (sold separately) to either side.
