Dry-Film Lubricants
These lubricants go on wet for easy application. Once dry, they form a nonstick film that won't attract dust. Use them for general purpose lubricating in most applications.
Lubricants with oil are thin and won’t stain. Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high loads and have excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with silicone are clear, have excellent water resistance, and can be used on most rubber and plastic. Lubricants with graphite have good heat and wear resistance. Apply lubricant in a can with an HVLP sprayer. Lubricants with PTFE can be used on most rubber and plastic surfaces. Aerosol can with a flip-up straw has a straw that’s attached to the nozzle, so it won’t get lost. Raise it for precision dispensing; lower it for storage or to dispense as a spray. Lubricants with boron nitride resist corrosion from salt water and won’t wash off. Lubricants with ceramic are often used in extreme-temperature applications, such as welding, metal processing, and glassmaking. Dilute 1-gallon pail with water before using.
CRC 3-36 Ultra Lite dries out electronic components and dries to form a water-repellent seal.
DuPont Molykote 557 Silicone Dry Film is often used on blades to keep them sharp longer. DuPont Molykote D-321 R Anti-Friction withstands extreme temperatures and is long lasting.
Dri Slide lubricants have good corrosion resistance. Use Dri Slide EP Liquid Grease for extreme-pressure applications, such as with open gears and dies, wire drawing, and stamping.
Lubricants that cannot be sold outside the United States are restricted by product labeling requirements.

Long-Life Dry-Film Lubricants
Nano-sized additives fill small surface imperfections, reducing wear and heat to extend the life of both the lubricant and equipment. These lubricants dry to form a nonstick film that won’t attract dust. They are often used on hinges, gears, and roller chain.
Lubricants that cannot be sold to the regions listed exceed local regulatory limits on VOC (volatile organic compounds).
Food Industry Dry-Film Lubricants
Use these NSF registered H1 lubricants in food-processing and preparation areas with a risk of incidental food contact. They form a nonstick film that won't attract contaminants, such as flour.
Lubricants with silicone can be used with plastic. Lubricants with PTFE have small particles of PTFE that fill in surface imperfections for excellent lubricity.
Lubricants cannot be sold to the listed areas due to product regulations.

Dry-Film Lubricants for Chain
A high load-carrying capacity makes these lubricants good for use on chain and moving metal parts. They dry to form a film that lubricates without attracting dust.
Lubricants with graphite have good heat and excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with PTFE can be used with most plastics and are chemically inert.

Overhead Door Dry-Film Lubricants
Spray these wear-resistant lubricants on rollers, hinges, and tracks of overhead doors to reduce friction and noise. These silicone lubricants repels water for use outdoors. Once dry, they form a thin lubricating layer that won’t rub off or attract dust.
Permanent Dry-Film Lubricants
Also known as antifriction coatings, these slippery coatings cure to provide permanent lubrication. They're made with moly (molybdenum disulfide) for high-load applications, such as hinges, gears, and rods. They fill in surface imperfections for a smooth, dry finish that won’t attract dust.
DuPont Molykote 3402-C Anti-Friction cures when exposed to air. It has excellent corrosion resistance. DuPont Molykote 106 Anti-Friction cures when exposed to heat. Use it for your highest-pressure applications, such as pumps, pistons, bearings, and gears.
Conveyor Rail and Chute Dry-Film Lubricants
Prevent packages from sticking on conveyor rails and chutes. Made with silicone, use these lubricants to create a slippery dry film that won’t attract dust where metal and non-metal surfaces meet.
Product labeling requirements restrict sales to the listed areas.
Powder and Flake Lubricants
Made of graphite, these powders and flakes lubricate under heavy loads and high temperatures. They resist most chemicals and conduct heat and electricity.
Powder lubricants get into hard-to-reach spots, such as locking mechanisms and fastener threads, better than flakes. Lubricant in a can and drum can be used dry or mixed with oil and grease to increase their load-carrying capacity or improve their ability to conduct heat and electricity. Lubricant in a tube can be used dry. It has a precision-tip applicator.
Flake lubricants conduct heat and electricity better than powder. Use them dry or mix with oil and grease to increase their load-carrying capacity or improve their ability to conduct heat and electricity.

Chemical-Resistant Slippery PTFE Powder
- Color: White
- Temperature Range: -300° to 500° F
- For Use On: Carriages, Multipurpose, Slides, Ways, Track, O-Rings, Seals, Chutes, Guide Rails, Locks
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
Often used in assemblies that rub against each other, this powder blends into plastic, rubber, composites, and lubricants to keep them from sticking. Because it is slippery, it decreases wear and dissipates heat caused by friction—it will not break down in extreme temperatures. It repels water, which keeps rust, dust, and debris from building up and causing abrasion between moving parts. This powder won’t react to most corrosive chemicals, but it will break down when exposed to alkali metal.
