Lenses for Ceiling Lights

Lenses disperse light to reduce glare and protect bulbs from damage. Cut to size using a band saw or shears.
Solid lenses keep bulbs hidden and distribute light evenly. Lenses with a prismatic or cracked ice pattern distribute light better than smooth lenses. Smooth lenses for LED lights scatter the directed light of an LED better than other solid lenses.
Egg crate and parabolic lenses have an open construction to allow more light through than solid lenses as well as more air circulation to cool bulbs. Parabolic lenses are reflective to direct light downward, which reduces glare.
Polystyrene lenses are the most economical, but they may yellow over time. Acrylic lenses won't turn yellow over time. Polycarbonate lenses are more impact-resistant than acrylic lenses, but they may yellow over time. Aluminum lenses withstand higher temperatures than plastic lenses.

Recessed Ceiling Lights

Also known as troffers, these lights fit most standard drop-ceiling grids, so they’re often used in indoor spaces such as offices and storage rooms. They can be hardwired to operate on any of the voltages listed. Solid lens are frosted and smooth or prismatic to disperse light evenly. With built-in LEDs, these lights last longer, are more efficient, and generate less heat than fluorescent lights. They emit a neutral white light often found in workspaces.

Wraparound-Lens Ceiling Lights

These fixtures disperse light from the sides as well as the bottom to produce ambient lighting ideal for indoor spaces such as offices and storage rooms. Rated for use in damp locations, these lights withstand humidity and moisture. All have a lens that disperses light evenly. Lights can be hardwired to operate on any of the voltages listed.
Those with a neutral light appearance emit a neutral white light often found in workspaces. Others with a neutral and cool light appearance have a selectable light appearance so they can emit neutral or cool light.
Add suspension hardware (sold separately) to hang lights from the ceiling. Suspension hardware for style A includes two wire rope slings with hooks and two wire rope clamps. No tools required—adjust the length and tighten clamps to secure. Suspension hardware for style B includes a mounting plate, an adjustable cable assembly, and a feed cord with three wire leads.

Light-Reflecting Ceiling Tiles

These tiles reflect up to 90% of light striking their surface to brighten your space.

Machine Vision Backlights
Detect edges, take measurements, and spot holes with your machine vision camera by passing objects over these backlights. They cast even, low-intensity light that sits opposite from your inspection camera to produce a silhouette for your camera to focus on. Each backlight requires an M12 cable (sold separately) to power it.
White lights produce clean, crisp illumination in blue and white tones, which is ideal for inspection work. They’re a versatile choice to help your camera see objects made of any color. However, they will reflect on shiny surfaces.
Red lights won’t create a reflection or glare because the color is absorbed by materials, which makes them ideal for inspecting shiny glass, plastic, or metal objects. By creating a contrasting color, they’ll help you easily inspect the edges and contours of an object. However, red lights won't create enough contrast to inspect red-colored objects.
Backlights with an IP67-rated housing are sealed to keep out dust and moisture, so you can use them on the floor below your conveyor or even submerge them in water.
Add a mount to secure your backlight to a load-bearing surface. They secure with a bracket to keep your light still for consistent and accurate imaging with your inspection camera.

Backlight Panel Kits

Illuminate signs and keyboards with a thin panel that's backlit by a circuit board of LED chips. Use the kit to light an existing display or print a custom design directly on the panel. Circuit boards have power connections on both ends; connect one end to a power source and cap the unused connection. To create two backlit panels, cut the circuit board in two and connect each half to a power source.
