Bi-Pin Base Tubular Light Bulbs
Brightness is measured in lumens; the higher the lumens, the brighter the bulb. Color rendering index (CRI) is a measurement on a scale of 0-100 of how accurately the light from a bulb represents an object's true colors; the higher the number, the more natural the colors appear. Any CRI value over 80 will show colors true to life. Bulbs with a warm light appearance have yellow tones. Bulbs with a neutral light appearance are often used in workspaces. Bulbs with a cool or daylight appearance have white/blue tones and are good for inspecting. A bulb’s estimated yearly cost is based on 3 hours of usage per day at $0.11 per kWh.
LED bulbs last longer and are more efficient than fluorescent bulbs. They generate little heat and withstand vibration. Socket-ready bulbs work with most instant-start electronic ballasts, but not all. For a full list of compatible ballasts select a part number and view product detail. Ballast bypass bulbs eliminate the need for a ballast so the socket must be wired directly to the power source.

Color-Changing Tubular Machine Lights
Just like traditional tubular lights that illuminate your machine with a bright white light, these lights can also be programmed to switch over to a red or green light for communicating machine status. With built-in LEDs, these lights last longer, are more efficient, and generate less heat than other light technologies. They produce a daylight appearance that highlights white/blue tones, which is good for inspecting. These lights have a durable polyester lens that won't turn yellow over time. They meet IP66, IP67, and IP69K.
These lights require a power cord to operate (sold separately; see 4-pole micro M12 socket with 12-ft. wire leads).

Easy-Retrofit Tubular Machine Lights
Update conventional fluorescent tubular lights with newer LED technology. These lights are furnished with brackets that have the same hole pattern as most older lights for easy changeover. The LEDs last longer, are more efficient, and generate less heat than other light technologies. They produce a cool light appearance that highlights white/blue tones, which is good for inspecting. Mount these lights directly inside machines—they have a durable glass lens that's sealed to keep out fluids, chips, and shavings. They are rated IP67 to withstand temporary submersion in a maximum of one meter of water for up to 30 minutes, so they're built tougher than needed for machine environments.
Brackets that are sold separately are an alternative mounting option. While not required, they clip onto the light anywhere along its length; this permits you to put the mounting fasteners in a place that works for your machine.
