These jobbers'-length bits have the rigidity and length required for most applications.
Black-oxide and black-and-gold-oxide drill bits produce less friction than uncoated drill bits.
Titanium-nitride (TiN) coated drill bits last longer and can drill at higher speeds than uncoated and oxide-coated drill bits.
Titanium-aluminum-nitride (TiAlN) coated drill bits are the most wear and temperature resistant for the longest life and highest drilling speeds.
Drill bits with a split point keep centered without a pilot hole.

Designed to lift chips out of the hole, these bits reduce clogging and improve coolant flow. They’re jobbers’ length, so they have the rigidity and length required for most applications. A split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.
Parabolic spiral flute drill bits have wider flutes for more efficient chip evacuation than spiral flute drill bits.
Titanium-nitride (TiN) coated drill bits last longer and can drill at higher speeds than black-oxide drill bits.

Short-Flute Cobalt Steel Drill Bit Sets

The short flutes on these jobbers'-length bits provide increased rigidity for drilling straighter holes. Made of cobalt steel, which has better heat and wear resistance than high-speed steel, they can run up to 25% faster and have a longer tool life. A split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.

Carbide Drill Bit Sets

For the highest accuracy and longest tool life, these solid-carbide bits are harder, stronger, and more wear resistant than high-speed steel, cobalt steel, and carbide-tipped bits. They retain a sharp, hard edge at high temperatures for the best performance on hard and abrasive material. These bits require rigid toolholding to prevent breakage and should not be used in hand-held drilling applications. All are jobbers’ length so they have the rigidity and length required for most applications. A four-facet point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.
Uncoated drill bit sets are good for general purpose drilling in most metal and plastic.
Titanium-carbonitride (TiCN) coated drill bit sets have a hard, smooth finish that resists chipping and wear. It also prevents material from accumulating on the cutting edge. They’re especially good for use on aluminum.
Aluminum-titanium-nitride (AlTiN) coated drill bit sets are the most wear and temperature resistant for the longest life and highest drilling speeds.

Quick-Change Carbide Drill Bit Sets

Make fast bit changes—each bit has the same shank diameter, eliminating the need for different collets to hold each size. Harder than high-speed steel, cobalt steel, and carbide-tipped bits, these maintain their sharp edges longer. These bits require rigid toolholding to prevent breakage and should not be used in hand-held drilling applications. All are jobbers’ length so they have the rigidity and length required for most applications. A four-facet point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.

More wear resistant than cobalt steel and high-speed steel, these carbide-tipped bits maintain a sharper, harder edge at high temperatures for excellent performance on abrasive material, such as plastic. Because they aren’t as brittle as solid carbide bits, they can be used in less rigid setups, such as a hand-held drill. All are jobbers’ length so they have the rigidity and length required for most applications.

Insert these bits directly into power screwdrivers, impact drivers, and other tools that accept 1/4" hex shanks. They are titanium nitride (TiN) coated for wear and temperature resistance.

Also known as reverse-flute bits, the flutes spiral in the opposite direction of other bits. Use in counterclockwise drilling applications such as removing broken screws. These bits are jobbers' length and have the rigidity and length required for most applications.
