Easy-to-Machine Gray Cast Iron Tubes

- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell C20 (Hard)
- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Max. Hardness After Heat Treatment: Rockwell C50
- Specifications Met: ASTM A247
Gray cast iron machines faster with less wear on cutting tools than most types of steel. It also absorbs vibration, so finished parts run quieter than those made of steel. It's often fabricated into gears, pulleys, rollers, and bushings.

Thick-Wall Galvanized Iron and Steel Threaded Pipe Nipples and Pipe
Made of galvanized iron or steel, this pipe has fair corrosion resistance. It has thick, Schedule 80 walls for good strength in medium-pressure applications.
Seamless pipe has a smooth interior for unrestricted flow and is stronger than welded pipe.
Straight reducers are also known as swage nipples.

Drain, Waste, and Vent Iron Pipe
Use this pipe in gravity-flow applications both above and below ground. It is also known as no-hub pipe and soil pipe. To connect, butt the end of a fitting up against pipe or another fitting and connect with a low-pressure clamp-on connector (sold separately). The clamp-on connector is also known as a no-hub coupling. Fittings are for use in noncorrosive environments. Pipe is seamless, so it has a smooth interior for unrestricted flow. It is for use in noncorrosive environments.
