    Removable Taper-Bolt Anchors for Concrete

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Anchors. Removable Taper-Bolt Anchors for Concrete.
Remove the bolt to adjust, move, or replace components. Manufactured in the U.S. with Grade 5 steel, these anchors have over twice the shear strength of our wedge anchors, making them strong enough to secure highway barriers and train tracks. When you tighten them, the tapered bolt expands the nut, spreading the gripping force along its entire length. This creates the higher strength than wedge anchors, where the grip is focused at the wedge. These anchors are more forgiving of variations in hole precision than wedge anchors and require more torque to install. The increased torque puts stress on your base material, so don't use them near edges, corners, or in cracked surfaces.
To install, thread the nut onto the tapered bolt. Drive the anchor through your component into a drilled hole. Then, turn the bolt to expand the nut for a tight hold. You can repeatedly use the bolt in the same hole. To use the bolt in a new hole, a replacement expander nut (sold separately) is required.

Vibration-Resistant Drive Anchors for Block and Brick

Best for securing heavy machinery with constant motion, such as vibrating feeders and conveyors, to walls and floors, these anchors won’t shake loose. As you hammer in the pin, the anchor body expands while the ridges bite into your hole’s walls for a superior grip. These anchors require more force to install than sleeve anchors, so the block and brick you are installing them in should not be worn or cracked.
To install, position the nut and insert the anchor through your machinery into a drilled hole. Then, hammer the pin until it's flush with the top of the bolt, ensuring the anchor is fully set.

You can remove your machinery by unfastening the nut, but the anchor itself cannot be removed without prying out the pin.

Pin Drive Anchors with Tamper-Resistant Nut
Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated, Inset. Anchors. Vibration-Resistant Drive Anchors for Block and Brick, Pin Drive Anchors with Tamper-Resistant Nut.
A tamper-resistant nut prevents the unwanted removal of machinery. Turn the nut round side up for a domed look or flat side up to create a flush finish in countersunk holes. Once set, the nut can’t be removed. The only way to remove the machinery is to pry out the pin and remove the entire anchor.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these anchors to rust.

High-Strength Anchors for Block and Brick

Image of Product. Front orientation. Anchors. High-Strength Anchors for Block and Brick.
Offering up to twice the strength of double expansion anchors, these US-made anchors expand in four directions for a superior grip in floors, walls, and ceilings. You can even use them to mount heavy machinery with constant motion, such as conveyors and vibrating feeders, because their ridges lock them in place to resist vibration. All of these anchors expand along their full length to distribute the gripping force, so they won’t crack soft materials. You can use them in concrete near edges, corners, or other weak points as an alternative to drop-in anchors.
To install, tap the anchor into a drilled hole. Insert a screw or threaded rod through your machinery and into the anchor. Then, tighten to expand the anchor. All create a permanent female-threaded connection that lets you remove and reinstall a screw or threaded rod.

Light Duty Anchors for Block and Brick

These anchors grip the sides of your hole to resist twisting and pullout in block and brick. They’re an economical choice for mounting lightweight switches, security cameras, and clocks. All are the easiest anchors to install in block and brick but have the lowest strength.
To install, drill a hole slightly deeper than the anchor is long. Next, insert the anchor until it's flush with the surface. Then, thread a tapping screw through your component into the anchor and tighten. Remove your component by unfastening the screw, but the anchor itself cannot be removed.
    Anchors
Alligator—Expand and fuse to hole walls for a secure hold. Projections on these anchors add gripping force to prevent twisting. Removing and reinstalling your screw will not lessen the strength.
Flanged Alligator—Best for installing in walls with hollow cavities, the flange keeps these anchors from being pushed through your hole. The anchors split in half inside the cavity for a secure hold. Projections on the anchors add gripping force to prevent twisting. Removing and reinstalling your screw will not lessen the strength.
Finned—For a secure hold, two large fins grip holes in solid surfaces or expand in the cavity of hollow surfaces. The fins also add tension before tightening the screw, so these anchors won't fall out of overhead holes. Removing and reinstalling the screw will weaken the strength.

Light Duty Drive Rivet Anchors for Block and Brick

A step up from a nail, the rivet head creates a secure connection with a finished look for mounting lightweight signs, screens, and panels. Easier to install than other types of anchors for block and brick, the anchors expand as you hammer in the pin or screw. Since the gripping force is distributed along the entire length of the anchor, it won’t crack soft materials.
To install, insert the anchor through your component and into a drilled hole. Then, hammer the pin or screw until it's flush with the anchor's head, which expands the anchor body.
