About Countersinks
Countersinks cut a cone-shaped opening to install screws and rivets flush with a surface or hold workpieces between centers on a lathe. They can also be used for chamfering and deburring.

Replaceable Carbide-Insert Countersinks for Screws
Rotate the carbide insert to reveal a fresh cutting edge—no tool sharpening needed. Replace the insert when all the edges are used. Countersinks are carbide for strength, hardness, and wear resistance and have excellent performance on hard and abrasive materials. All require rigid tool holding to prevent breakage and are not for use with hand-held tools. They come with an uncoated carbide insert and a Torx wrench. An 82° countersink angle is compatible with the profile of flat- and oval-head inch screws; a 90° countersink angle is compatible with the profile of flat- and oval-head metric screws and is also good for deburring.
Replacement carbide inserts (not included) are available. TiN (titanium nitride) coated carbide inserts have more heat resistance and less friction than uncoated inserts for increased productivity and tool life.

Replaceable Carbide-Insert Countersinks for Lathe Centers
Unlike other countersinks that require sharpening, these have a carbide insert that can be rotated to reveal a fresh cutting edge. When all edges are used, just replace the insert. Countersinks are carbide for strength, hardness, and wear resistance and have excellent performance on hard and abrasive materials. They require rigid tool holding to prevent breakage and are not for use with hand-held tools. All countersinks come with an uncoated carbide insert and a Torx wrench. The 60° countersink angle is compatible with the profile of centers on a lathe.
Replacement carbide inserts (not included) are available. TiN (titanium nitride) coated carbide inserts have more heat resistance and less friction than uncoated inserts for increased productivity and tool life.

Replaceable Carbide-Insert Countersinks for Rivets
Rotate the included carbide insert to reveal a fresh cutting edge instead of sharpening the countersink. Replace the insert when all the edges are used. For excellent performance on hard and abrasive materials, these countersinks are carbide for strength, hardness, and wear resistance. They require rigid tool holding to prevent breakage and are not for use with hand-held tools. All come with an uncoated carbide insert and a Torx wrench. The 100°countersink angle is compatible with the profile of rivets.
Replacement carbide inserts (not included) are available. TiN (titanium nitride) coated inserts have more heat resistance and less friction than uncoated inserts for increased productivity and tool life.
