Metal Barbed Hose Fittings for Air and Water
Slide the barbed end into rubber hose and secure with the appropriate clamp or crimp-on hose ferrule.
Aluminum fittings are lighter in weight than other metal fittings. They have good corrosion resistance.
Fittings that swivel until tightened rotate 360° for easy installation. Fittings with a threaded end are also known as hose nipples.
Female NPSM (National Pipe Straight Mechanical) threads are compatible with male NPT and NPTF threads. Male NPSM threads are compatible with female NPSH threads.

Low-profile barbs and a longer first barb allow for a smoother, easier installation than other barbed fittings. Slide the barbed end into rubber hose and secure with a clamp.
Steel fittings are stronger and more durable than other metal fittings. They should be used in noncorrosive environments. Zinc-plated steel fittings have slightly better corrosion resistance than unplated steel fittings. Aluminum fittings are lighter in weight than other metal fittings. They have good corrosion resistance. Fittings with a threaded end are also known as hose nipples.

Metal Cam-and-Groove Hose Couplings for Water

A complete coupling consists of a plug and a socket (both sold separately) that allow you to quickly connect and disconnect medium-to large-diameter hose lines. To connect, insert the plug into the socket and press the levers down. The levers fit snugly into the groove on the plug’s body and force the plug against the gasket to form a tight seal. To disconnect, lift both levers and pull out the plug.
Plugs with male threaded end are also known as F adapters.
Plugs with female threaded end are also known as A adapters.
Plugs with flanged end are also known as PFA adapters. Bolt the flanged end to another same-size flange with a gasket (sold separately).
Sockets with male threaded end are also known as B couplers.
Straight sockets with female threaded end are also known as D couplers.
Aluminum couplings are lighter in weight than brass plugs and sockets. They have good abrasion and corrosion resistance. Note: To ensure a correct fit, make sure that the plug and socket have the same coupling size.
Warning: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting the couplings. Do not use cam-and-groove couplings with compressed air or gas.

Metal Cam-and-Groove Hose Couplings for Chemicals and Petroleum

Made of metal, these couplings have better durability than plastic cam-and-groove couplings. Couplings are compatible with Andrews, Dixon, Ever-Tite, and PT cam-and-groove couplings.
Plugs with male threaded end are also known as F adapters.
Plugs with female threaded end are also known as A adapters.
Plugs with flanged end are also known as PFA adapters. Bolt the flanged end to another same-size flange with a gasket (sold separately).
Plugs with socket-connect end are also known as AWS adapters. They are easier to weld than butt-weld fittings because the fitting doesn’t need to align perfectly to the pipe. Slide pipe into the socket and weld for a strong, permanent connection.
Sockets with male threaded end are also known as B couplers.
Straight sockets with female threaded end are also known as D couplers.
Sockets with flanged end are also known as PFC couplers. Bolt the flanged end to another same-size flange with a gasket (sold separately).
Sockets with socket-connect end are also known as DWS couplers. They are easier to weld than butt-weld fittings because the fitting doesn’t need to align perfectly to the pipe. Slide pipe into the socket and weld for a strong, permanent connection.
Aluminum plugs and sockets are lighter in weight than 316 stainless steel plugs and sockets. They have good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel plugs and sockets have excellent corrosion resistance.
Note: To ensure a correct fit, make sure that the plug and socket have the same coupling size.
Warning: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting the couplings. Do not use cam-and-groove couplings with compressed air or gas.

Hose Unions for Chemicals and Petroleum

- For Use With: Citric Acid, Cutting Oil, Diesel Fuel, Fuel Oil, Gasoline, Hydraulic Fluid, Mineral Oil, Oil
- Maximum Pressure: See table
Access your line without twisting the hose—these unions separate into three pieces. Also known as WECO couplings and hammer unions, they’re made of forged steel that’s tough enough to be tightened with the blow of a hammer. Use them with other connectors that have the same hammer union figure and pipe size.
Note: Pressure ratings are given for static (constant) pressure conditions with no instantaneous increases in pressure.

High-Polish Metal Quick-Clamp Sanitary Tube Fittings

- Temperature Range: See Gaskets
The smooth finish inside these fittings makes it easy to remove product residue. Also known as aseptic and tri-clamp fittings, they connect with a gasket, a clamp, and another quick-clamp fitting for a fast and easy way to access your line. The pressure rating of the fitting will vary depending on the clamp you choose, and the temperature rating will vary based on the gasket material you choose.
304 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance.
Note: To complete a connection, you’ll need two quick-clamp fittings, a clamp, and a gasket (all sold separately).

- For Use With: Air, Water
- Tubing: Use with welded 304/304L or 316/316L stainless steel that meets ASTM A269 or ASTM 270

Buna-N gaskets are oil resistant. EPDM gaskets resist water and steam and work well in humid environments. Silicone gaskets withstand high temperatures. Fluoroelastomer gaskets stand up to fuel, oil, and acid condensates. PTFE gaskets withstand harsh chemicals, with the exception of molten alkali metal and elemental fluorine.

Vacuum Fittings for Steel Tubing

- For Use With: Air, Glass, Plastic Pellets, Resins, Wood Chips
- Temperature Range: -10° to 180° F
- Tubing: Galvanized Steel: Use with steel, galvanized steel
Steel: Use with steel
Use these fittings to create an air vacuum system without the hassle of brazing and welding. Insert two fittings into a clamp (sold separately) and tighten to form a secure seal.
Galvanized steel fittings have fair corrosion resistance. Fittings without a finish should only be used in noncorrosive environments.

Fire Hydrants
Fight fires in areas around your facility that city-installed hydrants don’t reach. These hydrants are dry-barrel, the most common type of hydrant, which means they drain water when not in use. Not only does this prevent freezing, but it keeps water from spurting out if a vehicle hits these hydrants. And if they get hit, they won’t need much repair—their safety flange and safety stem coupling break without shattering. That means the hydrant comes off cleanly, minimizing damage to the main body and stem. To repair, just replace the flange and coupling using the repair kit (sold separately).
These hydrants must be installed and maintained according to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards. If your main line is below 5 ft., attach a stem extension (sold separately). An extension can also raise your hydrant above the ground.
These hydrants are FM approved and meet AWWA C-502 standards for the durability, reliability, and safety of dry-barrel fire hydrants. Connect them to the plain end of a water main line with their mechanical joint connection. The fitting will maintain a tight seal through normal underground movement and temperature changes.
