When heat is applied to these terminals, the insulation shrinks and creates a seal that keeps out water and contaminants. The barrel is insulated to prevent short-circuiting from nearby wire. Mount these terminals on a threaded screw or stud for a more secure connection than spade or hook terminals. Use a crimper (not included) to install wire.

Solder-Loaded Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals
When heat is applied, the enclosed solder melts, creating the most secure and electrically conductive connection we offer. The plastic insulation also shrinks when heated, forming a seal to keep out water and contaminants. It covers the barrel to prevent short circuiting with nearby wire. Mount these terminals on a threaded screw or stud for a more secure connection than spade or hook terminals.
Use a crimper (not included) with crimp-on and solder terminals to secure wire before soldering.
